You want to start selling online, but sales funnels are so confusing, and building them is a nightmare. And, even if you do get the job done, you have no idea whether it’s going to convert.
But, that doesn’t have to be the case… I’m going to show you a sales funnel template that is FREE, has pre-written copy, and is easy-to-edit in this article.
The Most Profitable Sales Funnel Template
Before we jump into my favorite sales funnel template, I just wanted to talk you through the basics of sales funnels.
By understanding the basics of sales funnels, you’ll be able to use this template much more effectively.
If you know how to use them correctly, sales funnels are going to be your number one tool for selling your products.
They’ll help you take your visitor through the purchasing journey and turn them into a loyal customer that keeps buying your products or services.
What is a Sales funnel?
So, what even is a sales funnel?
A sales funnel is the journey in which the visitor is turned into a paying customer. This journey is illustrated in a funnel-type graph, as you can see below.
The sales funnel helps us understand where we acquire customers and how we convert those customers. It also helps us understand the minds of our customers so that we are able to pull them through the stages of the sales funnel.
Don’t worry, we’ll talk more about that later on.
Why do you need a Sales funnel?
If you don’t have a sales funnel, you don’t have a clear plan on how you are going to convert your visitors into customers.
And, if you don’t have a clear plan of how you are going to convert your visitors into customers… well, you’re probably not going to make any sales.
The sales funnel allows us to understand exactly how we bring a visitor from A to Z and convert them.
What’s Inside of a Sales Funnel?
Depending on your business, there could be a number of different components inside of your sales funnel.
For me, I always like these things to make up a sales funnel:
Together these components, allow you to attract the awareness and interest of your visitors and also make their decision easier causing them to take action.
Now that you understand what components are inside of a sales funnel and why you need them, we can move forward. Let’s finally take a look at the sales funnel template that is going to make your sales explode!
The #1 Sales Funnel Template
As I mentioned earlier, this sales funnel template:
- Is completely free
- Is easy-to-use
- Has pre-written copy (by globally recognized marketers)
And, ultimately is going to convert.
The sales funnel template we are going to be using is called the list builder campaign.
|How it works: We give our customers a lead magnet so that they opt-in to our email sequence. The lead magnet acts as a little taster/trial of our main product so that you can then promote your main product in the email sequence as many times as you want. Because you are sending them to a free offer first, you will collect loads of email addresses. The reason we collect email addresses is that then we have UNLIMITED opportunities to sell to our customers.|
This is the sales funnel template that I recommend if you are a beginner because it gives you everything you need to start building your list and selling your products.
Do you see how we are taking our customers through the 4 stages of the sales funnel using this sales funnel template?
You also build a list with this template meaning that you can sell even more products to these contacts in the future.
That’s Not All…
The copy of the emails, sales pages, and opt-in pages is pre-written for you.
Not by anyone, by Frank Kern… an internet marketing legend!
How To Get The Sales Funnel Template For Free
First of all, you’re going to need a piece of sales funnel builder software.
There are many out there like ClickFunnels, InfusionSoft, etc. but the best one from my experience is Kartra.
And, Kartra also comes with many pre-written funnel templates like the list-builder campaign I showed you above. Many of them have pre-written templates by Frank Kern and other internet marketing legends.
They can easily be edited with the drag and drop builder inside of Kartra and it also has powerful marketing automation tools to help you convert your leads.
Step 1: Get a Kartra Trial For $1
Kartra offers a 14 day trial for $1.
In these 14 days, you get full access to the software, meaning you can use it to launch and kickstart your online business before paying.
Kartra, the sales funnel software, comes with:
- Web pages/funnel builder

You get the point… It’s got everything you need to run an online business. That includes selling, collecting emails, and building your websites.

Even the emails and sales pages just need your product plugged in.
It’s literally plug & play…
Other Sales Funnel Templates
I also wanted to show you the other sales funnel templates that are available for free inside of Kartra.
My favorite one is the 4-day cash machine, as it will help you sell your product or services to an existing list extremely quickly. If you don’t have a list yet or want to build your list further, just use the list builder campaign that I explained above.
Traffic For Your Sales Funnel
Your sales funnel is not going to sell for you if you don’t send any traffic into it (duh?).
That being said, it does have to be the right targeted traffic if you want it to convert. There are many options out there, but I just covered 3 that usually work well for almost all businesses.
Remember that if you set up your sales funnel correctly, you will have unlimited opportunities to sell to your leads. This means, your leads will have a high lifetime value.
If your leads have a high lifetime value, it’s very easy to be profitable using paid ads. Kartra will also help you track how much money you make per lead which will be extremely helpful for when you are running paid ads.
For example, if you know you make $20 per person that goes into your email sequence, you can go to Facebook and run ads and comfortably get leads for $5-$6.
Facebook ads can be extremely effective if you know your exact buyer persona.
They let you target by interests, age, demographics, job title, and almost anything you can think of.
This allows you to go out and pin-point target people that have the problem your product solves.
Google ads are even more targeted than Facebook ads. Why?
Because they allow you to target users while they are searching for something that you offer.
Just like with Facebook ads, you can advertise your funnel, build your list, and sell your products.
Social Media Organic
Organic social media traffic can work well too if you’re good at networking and get actively get yourself out there.
Plus, it’s free and also lets you feed your funnel with leads so that it will convert them for you.
The 4 Stages of a Sales Funnel Explained
As promised earlier, I did say that I’ll go into a little more detail on the stages of the sales funnel.
The four stages of the sales funnel are
All of these four stages play a key role in turning a visitor into a sale. And, they also help us understand the mindset of a customer.
Before we can trigger any sort of interest in the customer, we have to make them aware of our product or service.
This could be through advertising or organically, but they have to become aware of us some way, otherwise, they won’t know of us.
At this stage, it’s important that we make it easy for the future customer to remember us. That’s why many people like to give away something for free to collect the email address, as then you can repeatedly market to the customer.
Plus, if you give them something that they actually find valuable, it’s much more likely that they will remember you.
Next, we need to trigger some interest in the customer for the product or service that we are selling.
This could be through emails that explain the benefits of what we sell, like the emails in the sales funnel template I showed you earlier. Or, it can also be through retargeting ads or other marketing channels like social media.
The marketing at this stage is very benefit-driven, as benefits are what will trigger interest for our products or services.
At this stage, the customer has already gained an interest in our product.
They have started making a decision in their mind about purchasing our product and are just one step before taking action.
Things that add security like trials, money-back guarantee, or social proof will be beneficial at this stage.
Lastly, is the stage at which your customer takes action.
As you probably guessed, this is after they have made a decision and wander over to the sales page where they finally hit that buy button.
From here, you have the ability to turn that customer into a loyal one if you have a good product and do a good job on your email marketing.
