There is one thing that all bloggers can’t get enough of, traffic. There isn’t a much better feeling than getting new traffic and rankings, right?
That’s why in this article we are going to take a look at how to increase blog traffic quickly. The strategies in this article are quite general, so they will work for whatever type of blog you have.
But, it is important that you follow the steps closely, otherwise you’re not going to see any results with the methods covered.
How To Increase Blog Traffic Quickly & Continuously
To increase our blog traffic, we have to take 3 simple steps.
Fix our site’s problems
Improve existing keywords
Ranking For New Keywords
And, that’s all we’re going to do. We’re going to fix any problems that are stopping us rank or damaging our search performance and then we’ll give Google what they want.
Before I walk you through the entire process, you are going to need a tool to help you. I recommend SEMrush for this, as it has all the features that we need for this.
The reason why I recommend SEMrush is because it’s the perfect all-in-one SEO software for bloggers, meaning it is the only tool you will need. Plus, it constantly helps you increase your traffic, so it pretty much pays for itself.
The first step to increasing your blog traffic quickly is fixing any problems with your site, as these are holding you back. If you don’t do this first, then the next steps will not work as well or could even be useless.
You may also think that your site is all good, but it’s still better to first audit your site as sometimes the problems can be quite hard to spot.
If you would like to get a free technical SEO audit of your site, head over to “projects” and add your website URL.
Go through the quick setup if you haven’t already and once you are done, SEMrush will give you an Audit of your overall site health.
The main errors to look for are things like broken link errors, duplicate content, thin pages (unless it’s for a reason), and all this type of stuff. SEMrush tells you everything that could potentially be wrong with your site, so some things aren’t that important.
For example, you’ll get errors saying that the title tag text is too long which I don’t think will affect your rankings, as long as it still looks good so that you get a good CTR. SEMrush will tell you how important each one is, but do use your common sense as well.
It may take a little time, but you want to go through and fix all the big errors. I must admit, I don’t really like technical SEO myself, I do the bare minimum and always aim for 85+% site health.
The main things that you want to fix are the errors that could actually stop you from ranking like:
The second step that you want to take before moving on is getting a backlink audit.
Backlink audits will help you identify toxic links which may be harming your rankings, or risk your site getting penalized. At the top of your SEMrush dashboard, select the SEO toolkit and then you will see it under backlinks.
Run the audit and take a look at the links SEMrush suggests are toxic. SEO isn’t just maths, so take these as warnings that you need to double-check. Sometimes, SEMrush will tell you that certain links could be toxic, but they could be fine.
Again, you have to use your common sense and not blindly follow the recommendations. For example, I used to have two sites and as I was the owner of both of them, I had one in the footer of the other which SEMrush flagged as potentially harmful because this is often where hacked links are placed.
As links will usually increase your rankings, removing the wrong links can decrease your rankings, so be careful. If links blatantly look like spam or they look like you’ve done suspicious link-building, then you can disavow them.
But, always double-check before doing so.
2. Improving Existing Keywords
Once you have removed all the issues from your site, you can start to take a look at how you can increase your rankings.
The fastest way to do this is by taking a look at the keywords that are already ranking, as Google already likes your pages for those keywords. Our process for this is also quite simple, we’ll look for keywords that are on pages 2-3 and take a look at why the higher positions are ranking above us.
Like many SEO campaigns & methods, there are only 3 steps to this as well.
Find the keywords
Again, it’s nothing complicated, we’re simply going to identify what needs to be done for us to increase our positions.
Step 1: Find The Keywords That Are Worth It
Before you can improve your pages for keywords that are already ranking, you need to get all the keywords.
To do this, go to domain analytics and type in your URL. Then scroll down to the keywords and filter all results between positions 2-20, you can go higher as well if the keywords will bring in revenue by increasing their positions.
But, as you probably know, the more you have to increase, the harder of a task it is.
Choose a few that matter the most to you i.e have the best potential for revenue if they were on page 1.
Step 2: Analyze
Once you have got keywords that fit the criteria above, you’ll need to find out what the results on page 1 are doing.
For this, compare your:
Try to identify the differences between your pages and the sites that are ranking on the first page. For your content it may be on-page optimization content length, terms used or topics covered. By comparing, you’ll usually be able to identify something that you need to improve. You can also use the SEMrush content writing assistant to get this right.
After, that you also want to compare both of your internal and external backlinks. SEMrush has several tools to help you with this as well, for example, the backlink gap tool. Here, you can add your competitors URLs and SEMrush will find all the common links they have, but you don’t.
Or, you can also look at the particular pages to get an idea of the quantity and quality of links your competitors have. If you have better content than your competitors, then it shouldn’t be too hard for you to get the same links.
Take a note of everything that you need to get to page 1 on each keyword that you want to. I usually like to start with the ones closest, as they can have an impact the quickest.
Note down what they have that your page doesn’t in terms of content and links.
Step 3: Execute
The 3rd step is to execute and get everything on your list. Take a look at the differences noted in your content and improve it, until you have better content than the page 1 rankings.
For your links, you can try to mimic your competitors and get all the links they have.
You can even reach out to the sites linking to them and ask whether they can switch the links. I covered this in a little more detail in my SEMrush keyword research guide.
If they have many more internal links, then you can build internal links of course as well. The point is, you should try to do what your page 1 competitors are doing, but also improve it so that you eventually rank above them.
If you have better content, better and more links then Google will have no choice but to rank you.
3. Ranking For New Keywords
Finally, you can also repeat the entire process but with new keywords.
Again, it’s quite simple and only takes 3 steps that are almost identical.
This time, we’re doing the exact same as last time, but instead of improving our content, we are creating it from scratch.
Insert competitors URL into domain analytics to find all their keywords
Type some related keywords to your niche into the keyword magic tool, look at suggestions
Look at keywords you rank for, but haven’t covered (then a separate page will probably perform well)
Again, if you would like more in-depth guidance on this, check out the guide I mentioned earlier.
Step 2: Create Content
The second step is to create the content, but you do want to analyze first to get an understanding of what Google wants. Take a look at the word length, common headings and terms used, so that you know what Google is looking for.
Again, the aim here should also be to do what’s working, even better.
Step 3: Build Links
Once you have your killer content written out, you’ll need to build links. In some cases, you won’t even need links but again, it depends on what your competitors have. If they have links, you’ll need them too.
The link building process here is the same, you can try the skyscraper technique (i.e reach out to sites linking to your competitors) or you could also do guest posts.
Why You Should Continuously Work On These Points
If you continuously work on improving your existing keywords and adding new pages that beat your competitors’, your traffic is going to explode over time.
You’ll build a lot of trust and authority and with time it will become easier to rank.
I recommend that you use SEMrush and work through each keyword that you want to rank for. If you do this, for 1-2 years, you’ll really start to grow your blog.
Welcome to my Kartra review, in which we’ll take a detailed look at what exactly this software does and how you can use it.
Unlike many other Kartra reviews, I’m not going to try and make you purchase it by acting like it’s a silver bullet to all your problems. Instead, I’ll help you figure out whether Kartra is the right fit for you because Kartra only really works for a specific type of person which we’ll talk about later on.
And, if you’re not this type of person, then Kartra will probably not have an impact on your online business and will therefore not work for you. On the flip side, if you are the right type of person, Kartra can help you grow more than probably any other software you have used before.
Kartra Review: Overview
Summary: Kartra is probably the best funnel builder on the market. It’s easy to use, has a HUGE list of tools to help you generate more revenue and a solid community behind it. HOWEVER, it’s not a silver bullet, meaning if your online business doesn’t work, Kartra will probably not make it work.
Overall, it’s a solid 9/10, as it helps businesses stay connected with their customers, build strong sales funnels, and ultimately generate more revenue.
Here’s some basic information about the platform including the official website, starting price & more.
Kartra is a platform that promises to be an all-in-one marketing solution for businesses that helps them build all types of web pages, stay connected, and sell more products.
The company behind Kartra, Genesis Digital was founded in 2013 and has also created other popular software for online businesses like WebinarJam or EverWebinar. However, Kartra wasn’t launched until 2018, so it’s a fairly new product.
Before the founders behind Kartra started building the platform, their goal was to create an “InfusionSoft killer” by creating a more powerful and easier-to-use alternative. InfusionSoft is extremely complex and often requires some type of coding knowledge which is why many businesses try to do it themselves.
Who Is Kartra For?
Kartra works incredibly well for a wide range of businesses, but only if their concept works. Don’t worry, I’ll talk a little more about this in a moment.
Some businesses that Kartra can work well for include:
Info product vendors
One thing I would say is that if you want to use your Kartra sites to rank well in search engines like Google, I’m going to have to disappoint you. While Kartra does have blog pages, I can’t imagine them competing them in search engines with an SEO-friendly CMS like WordPress.
However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t use both. For example, you can have your blog on WordPress and your funnels on Kartra with a subdomain. Plus, you can also embed your Kartra pages into WordPress by copying and pasting a piece of code (It is that easy).
Kartra Will Only Help You IF… (Important – Read Carefully)
This is just my opinion but I wanted to mention it before we get started with the Kartra review, as there is no need in wasting your time if it’s not right for you.
Nobody tells you this but…
Kartra will only help you generate more revenue if your online business generates any revenue. If not, then it probably won’t.
A lot of Kartra reviews act like Kartra is a silver bullet that can take a business from 0 to 6-figures, but that simply isn’t true. The tools inside of Kartra work well for existing businesses that are already generating some kind of revenue, it doesn’t have to be a lot but it has to be some kind.
Just using Kartra when you have no idea how to sell whatever products you’re selling, won’t change the situation. You have to know how to use these tools effectively for your online business.
Does that mean you can’t have success with Kartra if your business has never generated revenue before? No. If you have a solid plan behind what you’re doing, a problem to solve, and understand the tools, then Kartra can work well for you as well.
Even, if you’re an affiliate for health products with an email list of like 300 people that generates you lets say $300 per month, Kartra could work for you. For example, you could create a course with Kartra + group with monthly updates that you sell instead of your affiliate products. Suddenly, you could be generating $1K+ per month instead of $300.
You can also sell affiliate products, but this was just an example.
The point is, if you want Kartra to work for you, you need your business to work. If your business is already working, I would bet that Kartra could increase your revenue.
Find out whether Kartra is for you: 🔴INTERACTIVE TEST🔴
Answer the following 3 questions to see whether Kartra is right for you. If you answer yes to all of them, I bet that Kartra can grow your business😎
Note: Read the previous section before taking this test!
Question 1: Are you already generating revenue or have a solid plan to solve a problem?
Something that I also thought I’ll mention in this Kartra review is the Academy that it comes with.
The courses and educational material inside of Kartra are completely free which is pretty nice. Some material is related to marketing and copywriting, but most will teach you how Kartra fo can be used for your marketing campaigns.
Once you understand how to use the power behind the Kartra features, your online business will grow exponentially. But, again, you need the fundamental knowledge of how to sell whatever products you’re selling, else Kartra won’t change anything for you.
So, if you feel like Kartra is for you, but you’re just not quite sure how to use it for your marketing campaigns, these courses could be extremely beneficial. Plus, learning about Kartra, marketing, and copywriting from the pro’s and founder is always a good thing, right?
Kartra Features: What Does Kartra Do?
If you’re still here at this point, I’m going to assume that you have some pretty significant interest in using Kartra for your marketing campaigns to grow your business.
For this reason, I’m going to provide you with some thorough insight into the features, so that you know exactly what to expect after reading this Kartra review.
If you prefer, you can also check out the list of features on the website.
Page builder & Templates
Kartra comes with a world-class page builder that makes building your website easy. You may know Kartra, as a sales funnel builder but it is much more than that, as you’ll see later on.
There are 100’s of templates for all types of different pages including:
Product launch pages
Thank you pages
Long sale pages
Upsell and downsell pages
Video sales letter pages
Check out pages
Error 404 pages
All of these templates can easily be edited with the page builder, making it easy to build your website or funnels extremely fast.
Plus, some others as well if you dig deeper, but these are the main ones. I’ve seen many landing page templates, but the ones in Kartra blew me away completely.
Normally, landing page templates are a little too similar to each other, but Kartra has such a huge variety which I was impressed by.
The page builder is drag & drop and the templates are beautiful, but there is one thing I don’t like about the builder.
It’s not quite as flexible for example the Unbounce landing page builder. What I mean by that is that you can’t move around elements however you want them, you can just put them into one of the blocks Kartra tells you to.
So if you put it into a block and want to move it to the left or right just a tiny bit, that isn’t possible. However, all the blocks are well calculated which means they are the best places to put elements. That being said, when I first used the Kartra page builder, I did find this part a little annoying.
To be fair, it’s the same with ClickFunnels and other popular funnel builders. Many people try to compare Kartra vs ClickFunnels, but Kartra is CF on steroids.
Building a sales funnel with Kartra is easier and more effective, as it simply has everything you need to build it effectively.
Plus, you won’t find another sales funnel builder that has so many other features that combine this well with the page builder. In terms of ease of use, it kills it as well.
Behavior Adaptive Marketing (BAM)
Kartra also has a feature called behavior adaptive marketing which allows your funnel to adapt based on the behavior of your visitors. This allows you to get your message to market match spot on, as you’ll give your audience exactly what their behavior tells you they want.
BAM is a feature that’s available to all Kartra users. You can also use BAM on all the other features, but I thought it would make sense to mention it early on so that I don’t forget to tell you about it.
All users can use BAM on:
BAM allows you to give users what they want without them asking for it. In general, I can’t think of any other page builders in a similar pricing range that offer this feature.
Kartra Shopping Cart
To complement the beautiful pages and templates, Kartra also comes with a comprehensive shopping cart tool.
You may have heard of checkout tools like SamCart that let you create shopping carts with order bumps, one-click upsells, and downsells… Kartra does the exact same.
Plus, Kartra’s shopping cart templates are beautiful as well.
In case you’re not quite sure about order bumps and all that type of stuff, I got some quick definitions for you below:
Order bump: Little checkbox or switch at checkout, in Kartra it’s a switch. When your customers turn it on, they purchase another product. (See image below).
One-click Upsell & Downsell: A one-click Upsell is a separate page after you have already sold a product to the customer where they can purchase with just one-click (as you already have CC details). If they decline this offer you can have a downsell page where they can also purchase with one-click.
Normally on a downsell page, you would offer them a discount or a smaller quantity of the previous offer.
Make sure to use these shopping cart features or at least try them, as they can increase your revenue significantly.
Kartra Email Marketing
Just like most marketers, I love email marketing.
So, if Kartra didn’t perform well in this field, it would be a big blow. Luckily, it has an autoresponder that matches the likes of ActiveCampaign or GetResponse’s email marketing functionality. It’s even a little better as it’s on the same dashboard as everything else.
This also gives you the ability to create tags based on additional events, but we’ll talk more about that later on. So, after building your email list, you’ll have even more opportunities to engage your audience.
It pretty much does everything ActiveCampaign does other than the CRM. The deliverability is just as good which doesn’t only make it easy to build your email list but also actually get your emails delivered.
A look at the Templates
Kartra has some pretty nice email templates, although I don’t use them at all. The reason I don’t use them isn’t that they don’t look nice or don’t convert, it’s the same reason why I never use templates no matter which autoresponder I’m using.
In my opinion, using lots of images in email marketing makes your email look like an advertisement. Plus, when the servers receive emails that are full of image code, then they’re probably going to put the email into the promotions tab.
Nonetheless, it doesn’t take away from the fact that Kartra has stunning email templates too as you can see in the image below.
Just like any other powerful email marketing software, Kartra also comes with comprehensive split-testing functionality.
You can split-test up to 4 emails at once and set up an automatic winner based on the percentages that you configure. You can split-test both the body and subject line of your email, so you can make the variations as similar or different as you’d like.
Given the overall quality of Kartra, I would have expected this type of split-testing functionality, so it’s good that Kartra meets my expectations.
Of course, behavior-based automation sequences are an essential part of email marketing.
If you have used something like ClickFunnels before you may have been disappointed with their automation sequences, but Kartra is the complete opposite. As I mentioned earlier, Kartra Mail has more tagging events and triggers than most pieces of email marketing software.
For example, as your autoresponders on the same software, as your affiliate platform, you can trigger a particular email to send IF the contact is an affiliate. That’s pretty cool and something you couldn’t do in most pieces of email marketing software.
The email sequences inside of Kartra, also combine well with the BAM technology for pages as you can make a page look different based on your automation events. So, if you were worrying about Kartra’s email sequence builder, I can assure you that there is no need to worry, as you’ll fall in love with them.
The sequence builder performs well in power and ease of use making it another outstanding Kartra feature.
Broadcast emails… There isn’t too much to say about them, as they’re the most standard part of email marketing.
But, what I would say is that they also have:
Other than that, they are standard just like with any other email marketing software.
The analytics inside of Kartra is better than most pieces of email marketing software. They’re visual, comprehensive, and have some cool data that not many other autoresponders have. For example, you’ll have analytics like the ROI of an email/automation or the lead value.
Analytical data like this will help you scale as it will give you a better understanding of the monetary numbers.
You also have comprehensive analytics on:
And… much more.
Again, in terms of analytics Kartra blows away pretty much any other autoresponder, another 5/5 star feature.
(Done-For-You) Campaigns & Funnels
Kartra also has a huge selection of done-for-you campaigns and pre-made funnels that you can import. Not only are they done-for-you, but the campaigns and funnels have also pre-written copy written by big marketers like Frank Kern.
You’ll love these if you already have a product or service. You can plug it in and you’re ready to go.
For example, on a particular email, it will give you the entire copy but the only things you need to fill in are the benefits or pain points.
And, of course, you can also create your funnels and campaigns using all of the features inside of Kartra. Once you have them saved under a particular campaign name, you can also share the entire campaign (with emails & everything else) with other Kartra users.
Pretty cool, right?
Make sure to check these out, as they allow you to leverage Frank Kern’s copy for your products. You get access to several different pre-made campaigns and sales funnels created by him which include:
thank you pages
There are also dozens of campaigns for a range of different businesses including service, consulting, agencies, info-product vendors and more.
With people like Frank Kern writing your copy, building out your high converting sales funnel will be easy. Plus, you have everything you need in your all-in-one dashboard.
Online marketing does not get much easier than this.
The Kartra membership builder will be extremely beneficial if you sell any type of info product. Of course, not everyone reading this Kartra review will be interested in creating a membership site, but it’s always nice to have.
Also, just like everything else inside of Kartra, it comes with a range of beautiful templates to make your life easier.
Drip Feed Content
If you have created memberships before, you’ll know that it’s so important to be able to drip-feed content. It allows you to make sure your customers are not watching too much at once and it also allows you to charge monthly on your memberships.
You won’t always use this feature, but not having it would be so annoying. Luckily, the Kartra membership builder has it.
Variety of File Types Support
Kartra memberships support all types of files including:
MP4 (through their video hosting)
This is great, as it doesn’t limit you on file types. If you just want to give your customers a quick note, or an audio file you can do so.
One of the most annoying things with some membership site platforms is not being able to have multiple membership/pricing tiers.
For example, you could have a course that sells for $199, but you might also have an additional upsell for $99. So, then you of course want to segment these two groups of customers and only give access to the upsell to the group that purchased it.
With some memberships, you can’t do this, but luckily with Kartra, you can!
Kartra memberships also have comprehensive membership tracking which is always nice. This is useful to get an understanding of which videos your customers are watching and where they are stopping. For example, if you have a free membership site that you monetize through selling a product at the end and everyone is only watching 50%, then you need to figure out why that is.
With comprehensive progress trackers inside of Kartra, you can even see at which videos your users have watched. You can also see averages of all progress by your customers.
Again, Kartra performs just like a high-quality membership site builder which is insane, when you consider all the other features this software comes with.
With Kartra, you can also create multi-site portals. Multi-site portals are used for when you are selling multiple courses but want them on the same storefront so that visitors can see them all on one page.
For example, you might have a course on SEO and one on copywriting. With this feature, you can have both of them on the same storefront, now if somebody wants to purchase both, they can.
Robust analytics are essential if you want to know exactly what your members are doing. Knowing what your members are doing, will allow you to create better memberships and will ultimately increase your sales.
Some of the analytics that you have access too include:
Average Retention time
Members’ time to complete
Remember I told you about one-click upsells inside of the checkouts? Well, it’s the same for your membership sites and they’re still one-click if you are using stripe. That’s insane.
For example, you could have sold somebody a course, one month later while accessing that course they decide to upgrade through the button inside of your membership. No, it doesn’t ask them for their credit card info, it just instantly upgrades them.
I’m not sure if there is ANY other software that lets you do this. Again, another outstanding feature that I just had to mention in this Kartra review!
It truly is a special all-in-one platform.
In the modern world of online marketing, you’re probably going to need some type of videos for your sales pages, memberships, or other components of your funnels. With most other funnel and page builders, you would have to use an external video hosting platform like Wistia which often costs $99 per month.
With Kartra, you don’t need any external tool to host your videos.
However, Kartra also comes with video hosting functionality. You can upload your videos (MP4 files), add CTA’s and overlays.
What I would say is that, if you’re on the Kartra starter plan, you only get 50gb storage. If you’re hosting videos for an entire course, then that’s probably going to take up that storage extremely so that’s something to look out for. All other plans come with unlimited storage, but we’ll talk more about that later on.
A nice little bonus is the Kartra help desk tool. Unless you have a lot of users, help desk tools aren’t usually that expensive to be fair, but you don’t need an external one when using this software.
However, just like with all other Kartra’s features it’s cool to have it in the same dashboard, like all these other features. Plus, always having a helpdesk available will help you increase your conversions and also improve the user experience.
You can segment your tickets by departments which makes it easy to assign the right type of support agent to the matter.
Some departments you can segment your tickets by include:
I like this, as it just makes the whole support process much quicker and easier.
Something that is also quite cool is that you can add another agent to the conversion. You can also send private messages from an agent to another and transfer a ticket to another agent or department. This makes it easy for your agents to collaborate to provide the best support possible.
Because everything is inside of Kartra, you can access all the customer information, transaction history, and billing management, from inside of the helpdesk ticket. Again, this is something that I have praised several times throughout this Kartra review as it makes your life so much easier when everything is in one dashboard.
And, of course… Canned responses which make your life easier as you can help a customer in a click of a button.
This is also pretty standard, but so useful.
High- Converting Calendars
Kartra also has a pretty sleek calendar app to help you book appointments.
And, it’s also just as advanced as a normal calendar app.
Take a look at some of the features:
Real-time booking management
Dynamic timezone conversion
Mobile, tablet computer
Affiliates & Marketplace
We also have the affiliates & marketplace feature which also will help you sell more products.
This Kartra feature is also better than many actual affiliate management platforms. Plus, you also get access to the marketplace which sends you an army of hungry affiliates applications to sell your products for you.
Or, if you’re an affiliate yourself, you can also use the marketplace to find affiliates in a variety of different niches.
If you have ever used a website like ClickBank, this is basically what the marketplace is.
Comprehensive Communication Ability
You can trigger email or SMS events & tags based on how an affiliate is performing, whether they are an active affiliate, and several other events. This gives you the ability to communicate everything closely so that your business partnership is as profitable as it can be.
Review and approve affiliates
Of course, you probably don’t want every tom dick and harry promoting your products, right?
That’s cool, as Kartra allows you to review and approve affiliates if you want to. So, there is no need to worry about getting the wrong type of affiliate as you are in full control.
Flexible Payments & Commissions
Payments and commissions in Kartra’s affiliate platform are as flexible as it gets.
For commissions & payments you can:
Choose a minimum amount that affiliates need to earn to withdraw
Set commissions globally or by product
Set commissions by percentage or fixed dollar amount
Pay per lead or pay per sale – You choose!
Again, I can’t think of many actual affiliate management platforms that compare to this.
Custom Affiliate Landers & Portals
You can also build custom portals and landing pages just for your affiliates. This means, if you want to allow your affiliates to send their visitors to a particular page, you can do so.
Last but not least, there is also Kartra Agency which can be useful if as the name suggests… you own some type of agency.
This feature allows you to manage clients’ accounts and also sell Kartra accounts, but you gain 40% of the sales.
So, you can sell accounts and then still also manage the account, which is pretty cool. It’s basically like a white-label feature.
This feature is only available in the silver plan and up.
How Can You Use Kartra To Grow Your Online Business?
In this Kartra review, I’ve run you through the most important features of the probably best all-in-one platform on the market, Kartra.
Now the question is… How can Kartra grow your online business?
The features inside of Kartra combine well and have the ability to increase your conversions exponentially if you use them correctly. You can build high converting pages and checkouts while combining them with emails that sell, strong memberships, and an army of affiliates.
Not only that… Kartra makes it pretty easy to use all of these features with pre-written copy and done-for-you campaigns.
If this Kartra review, has sparked some ideas for you on how you can use this platform to grow your business, then you can.
Kartra is a marketer’s dream.
What Others Say About Kartra…
To help you get a better understanding of whether Kartra is good, I decided to get some reviews from other people.
Spoiler alert: People love it as much as I do.
The 2nd question is…
Does or Can Your Business Use Traffic Sources Outside of SEO?
As you have seen throughout this Kartra review, this marketing platform is pretty awesome. But, just like most other things in life it does come at a price.
Now, as I mentioned many times throughout this article, this cost will only be worth it for you if your business is generating any type of revenue. Anyways, let’s take a look at the Kartra pricing table.
The cool thing about Kartra is that you get access to ALL features apart from Kartra agency, even on the lowest starter plan. So, if you have fewer contacts than the limit, you’re completely fine to use the starter plan as you’ll have access to every single feature inside of this platform.
Tools to help increase your conversions will only work if you are getting some initial conversions. If you can’t sell the products, you’re selling, or maybe don’t even know what you are selling, then Kartra will probably just not work for you.
For Kartra to have a positive impact on your online business you need to:
Understand how to sell what you are selling
Understand how to use Kartra’s tools for your business
Test different parts of your funnel
If you do these 3 things, I don’t see how Kartra’s marketing platform wouldn’t work for you.
If you want your primary traffic source to be search engines, go for something like WordPress. There is no way Kartra pages will compete with WordPress sites.
You can try to rank with Kartra pages, but I would not recommend it.
You can always use a WordPress website/blog for SEO while Kartra works well for your funnels, landing pages, and just about everything else.
It’s is probably the best platform out there for marketing automation but isn’t suited for SEO.
3. There is a learning curve
You’re essentially purchasing like 10 different tools in all in one. While they all are used in the same dashboard and have a similar feel, there is a learning curve.
If you want to use Kartra to grow your business, you’ll have to either deal with this or get some help. Remember, you do also get free access to Kartra Academy.
After going through the Kartra login, you’ll be asked if you want to join the academy and it is also on the left-hand side of your screen.
Is It Worth It?
I would say that if you’re the right type of person to use Kartra, it’s a no-brainer. The features open up tons of marketing opportunities for your business to help you generate more revenue. Not only that, but they also save so much time as you won’t have to integrate or switch between platforms.

How much would all these tools cost separately?
Kartra Cost (2,500 contacts)
Kartra: $99 per month
Glue It Together Yourself Cost (2,500 contacts) – If you purchase cheapest possible (not as good as Kartra)
Page builder + checkouts =$99 per month
Email autoresponder = $49 per month
Membership site builder = $49

There is no doubt that SEMrush is a killer marketing tool for online businesses. However, it can be just as useful for bloggers that are looking to grow their audience.
In this article, we are going to take a look at the 6 best SEMrush features for bloggers to help you grow your blog. A lot of these features that we are going to be talking about can combine extremely well, but we’ll cover that in a little more detail throughout this article.
So, let’s take a look at how you can use SEMrush to grow your blog.
1. Keyword Magic Tool
The keyword magic tool is probably my favorite SEMrush feature, as it helps you spot new opportunities of SERPs that you can rank on. SEMrush will also accurately analyze how hard it is to rank, as well as how much competition there actually is.
Combined with the search volume data, you can then use this to find out which keywords are worth your time. The Keyword Magic tool will also give you several other keyword suggestions related to the terms that you type in which can also help you spark some ideas.
If you would like to go into a deeper analysis of the SERPs, you can also use the Keyword Magic Tool to do so. The tool will also show you other data like the SEMrush authority score or the backlinks to each particular page on the SERP which also helps you understand the difficulty.
Tracking positions is essential to know how your site is performing. If you would try to track them manually, it would just be way too hard, especially if you have 100’s of keywords.
The good news is, when you use SEMrush you won’t need an external rank tracking tool. As a blogger, you probably have some keywords that you care about more than any others and some that you’re not really too bothered about.
What you can do in this case is track them all, but only highlight the ones that you care about. You can then use filters to find those keywords quickly and choose to only receive email notifications on those particular terms.
The reason I suggest you do this is that you probably post regularly. This means you’ll probably rank for hundreds if not thousands of keywords which would make it quite hard to keep an overview.
Either way, position tracking is another essential tool that helps you understand how your blog is doing so that you can take any actions if needed. Plus, it also helps you with detailed analytics for your positions, if you ever want to get deeper insights into your rankings.
SEMrush is great at helping you understand what type of backlinks you need to rank.
You can see all of your own & competitors backlinks with tons of data. This will help you if you would like to rank for a particular term, as you can identify the links your competitors have, mimic them, and eventually get better ones as well.
You can also identify toxic or bad links that could damage your site using the backlink audit tool. After identifying them, you can double-check whether you would like to keep them or disavow them via Google search console.
There is also a range of other metrics that you can check such as:
Referring Domains count
Root domain count
Top used Anchor text
Combining the backlink tools inside of SEMrush with the keyword magic tool which we spoke about earlier allows you to find out exactly what it takes to rank.
4. Topic Research
Finding out whether you can rank is not of much use unless you have a killer advantage in finding topics.
And, that’s exactly what SEMrush gives you with extensive topic research tools. The way it works is that you type in a topic or a keyword and SEMrush will show you dozens of ideas that you can use in your next few blog posts.
If you have ever used AnswertThePublic, SEMrush has the exact same but a lot more.
Using SEMrush you can also find previous articles that have done well i.e been shared a lot or gained a lot of links. You can use this as inspiration by analyzing why they have done so or you could potentially create a new post on the same topic, but make something even better.
If the first post did well and you create something even better, then chances are, your posts will perform well.
5. Writing Assistant & Content Template
SEMrush also helps you create content that will rank.
It does this by taking a look at what’s already ranking and taking patterns of what Google likes to see for the particular SERP. This includes things like word count, readability, headings, and keyword density. This is, of course, just a guideline but it helps you understand what is working at the moment.
If others are ranking, then you know that’s what Google is looking for. It will also show you some recommended keywords which your competition has commonly used.
This is just another feature to help you with a particular part of the blogging process which is writing optimized content.
6. Social Media Posting + Analyzing
Something that I never even noticed up until a couple of months ago, was that SEMrush actually lets you post to your social media channels.
As a blogger, this can of course be really helpful as it lets you share your new blog posts to your social media channels. The social media tool also has detailed analytics (very detailed!). I’m pretty sure external social media tools don’t have analytics as detailed as this, as SEMrush lets you perform all kinds of tasks on social media too.
For example, you can look at your competitors’ posts and sort them by engagement. Now you just have to find out what makes the best posts so successful and can do the same for some of your future posts.
I like that SEMrush also helps you with the tasks indirectly related to SEO, Blogging, etc. as this way you don’t need to get an external tool for them.
How SEMrush Helps You With The Entire Blogging Process
The reason SEMrush is rated so highly among bloggers is that it helps you with the entire process of posting a new post. There isn’t another tool that does this. While some tools do one particular task well (for example, Ahrefs analyses backlinks well) SEMrush does it all, for the same price.
SEMrush pretty much holds your hand from the point where you are looking for content ideas to writing the content and analyzing results.
If you’re not quite sure what I mean by this, take a look at the steps below:
Find content ideas (topic research)
Analyze data to find opportunities (keyword magic tool)
Analyze data to see difficulty (keyword magic tool + backlink checker)
Write optimized content (writing assistant)
Share content on social media (social media posting tool)
Analyze results (backlink checker, position tracker, social media analyzer, etc)
This is the exact reason why SEMrush is the perfect tool for bloggers who:
Want to grow their blog
Work on their SEO themselves
Need help with the tasks around posting blog posts
Get an Exclusive Extended Trial
As you have seen throughout this article, SEMrush has some pretty sweet features for bloggers. It takes you through the entire process of posting from A to Z to make things as easy and effective as possible.
If you’re a blogger, you should consider giving SEMrush a shot, as it will likely help you grow your blog by helping you spot opportunities that you wouldn’t have spotted usually.
Normally, SEMrush only offers a 7-day trial.
However, if you use the link below you can get an exclusive 14-day trial so that you can really give it a nice test-drive.
Sales funnels have become increasingly popular over the years.
Many marketers see them as an essential part of their online business and today, we’re going to take a look at the stages of a sales funnel.
We’re going to take a look at what the stages are and why each individual stage is important.
Plus, we’re also going to look at how each stage could translate into real-life components of your stage funnel.
What are The Four Stages of a Sales Funnel?
Well, this is quite a funny question actually, as many marketers use different terms for the stages of the sales funnel.
No matter what stages I use here, there will always be somebody else using different terms for each stage, so when you somebody else uses a different term, you know why.
Anyways, here are the four stages of the sales funnel:
I find these terms are the best way to describe the process up to the purchase, but it does also depend on the business.
If we’re talking about an outdoor food stand at a festival, it would probably go straight from awareness to desire and action.
What I am saying is that the four stages always depend on the business, so do keep that in mind.
The first stage of the sales funnel is awareness. Without this stage, there wouldn’t be the rest of the sales funnel, so it’s pretty important.
Now at this point, we are just making the future customer aware of our product or service. This is just so that they at least know of us which makes it much more likely for them to purchase later down the line.
The chances of someone purchasing from a business that they know is much higher than them purchasing from a business that they don’t know.
Common sense stuff, but the longer you think about it, the more you’ll understand why brands spend millions on TV advertisements.
It’s not for the direct conversion, it’s to make customers aware of who they are. In your business, this stage may translate into a Facebook or YouTube ad, or your organic search result.
Wherever the customer is first made aware of whatever it is that you do, that’s the awareness stage. If you’re trying to straight away push for the sale, in most cases, you’ll fail.
As important as awareness is, it’s nothing without interest.
If the customer has no interest in your product or service, why the f would they buy it? Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t have to be the type of interest they take in a hobby, it can be any type of interest.
For example, we have an interest in water because we need it to survive. I guess interest isn’t always the right word, but for most businesses, it will be. Or, if not I guess you could switch it out with the word motive.
Anyway, the way we trigger interest in most cases could be through a variety of different marketing channels. Email marketing, social media or blogging could be three channels that we use to create interest in the customer.
For example, if I want to sell email marketing software, I might make blog posts or social media posts that explain why email marketing will help businesses sell more products. This will trigger a lot of interest in business owners because they want to sell more products.
You usually trigger interest by educating your audience on how they can gain a certain benefit. So, if you want to trigger interest, figure out how the product you want to sell helps your customer get a benefit.
The next stage of the sales funnel is decision. At this point, the customer starts to decide why they need/want your product.
You can also call this stage desire as the customer starts to have a desire in purchasing your product. This stage usually isn’t really tied to one of your marketing channels like your blog, email, or anything like that, it’s more in the customer’s mind.
Although, you can push the sale at this stage with scarcity, social proof, discounts, and a dozen other marketing tactics. You can do this through email, retargeting ads, and just by popping up everywhere your customer looks, so I guess it is kind of tied to your marketing channels.
Anyway, this is the final stage before the purchase and it really comes down to 2 things:
Does your product’s benefits outweigh the costs of the product?
You can’t actually answer this question with a yes or no, as the benefits have to outweigh the costs in the customer’s mind. If they don’t, they’re not going to buy. It’s as simple as that.
Lastly, we have action.
This is where they enter your website URL, go to your store and purchase. Or, message you and say that they want to hop on a call about X service you offered to them. Whatever it is, this is where whoever you are attempting to sell too finally becomes a customer.
Not so fast… At this point, things can still go wrong.
For one, if the customer can’t find what he wants to buy, he may go somewhere else.
Again, this is dependant on how big the benefits are and how unique your product is.
If they can just get that same product anywhere else and can’t find yours, well, they’ll just go somewhere else.
So, what it comes down to this phase, the most important factors are:
Branding & how unique your product is
Ease of access
I’m not going to talk about branding and uniqueness of your product, as you should probably read a book on that. Plus, I suck at it myself (Sad face).
But, what I will say about ease of access is that you should make your product as easily accessible as possible.
This is how Amazon crushed Walmart and other brick & mortar retailers, they just made it 100x easier for customers to access the products, while with other retailers they would have to go to the store.
If your products are much easier accessed than your competitors, you’re probably going to crush them as well.
After The Sale, What’s Next?
We know that sales funnels are good for businesses, but what happens after the sale? After the sale, this whole thing is finished… NOT.
Now it’s about keeping that customer and making repeat sales.
The first step to keeping your customer is having a good product that gives them some sort of benefit.
No product with 0 perceived value is ever going to be bought again by customers. Even, cheaply made clothing brands that sell their items for extremely high markups have perceived value to the customer.
The customer clearly likes the look or the feeling of having that clothing item. So, the first step is to have a good product, or at least a product with some type of perceived value.
Then, it’s a case of using the tools available to you to make it more likely for the customer to purchase next time they need or want the product.
Aweber is seen as the “godfather” of email marketing by many.
I’m not sure whether it was the first autoresponder, but it was one of the first ones publicly available to purchase. It was founded by Tom Kulzer in 1998 and has since then, helped over one million customers stay connected with their contacts through email marketing.
As you have probably figured out, Aweber is also one of the most popular email marketing solutions on the market.
ActiveCampaign has a long list of features that we’ll get into in just a moment.
I see it as the ultimate back-end communication hub that allows you to communicate with your contacts and manage them effectively.
Email marketing software
Form builder (forms)
Marketing platform automation
Sales & CRM
Gmail extension for Chrome
Facebook custom audience
API & Integrations
Do you see what I mean? It makes the perfect back-end communication hub as I mentioned earlier.
What I would say is that it somewhat lacks in the front-end part where you collect emails. Yeah, I understand that it’s an SMS & email autoresponder, as well as a CRM, but most of their competitors are adding features like landing pages.
It does also have forms, but I find they are not as good as dedicated form/page builders like for example Elementor or Thrive Leads. That being said, most people who use it love (and, I mean love) it thanks to its great communication tools.
The email builder and templates in ActiveCampaign are also really easy to use. I still to this day find it hard switching to any other autoresponder because ActiveCampaign is so easy to use, despite their powerful features.
So, in terms of ease of use, ActiveCampaign is right up there.
Although Aweber is one of the oldest autoresponders in the game, it has evolved which means it has a long list of powerful features too. Plus, it gives you some tools to collect emails as well such as their landing page builder.
Drag & drop email builder
Sign up forms
6,000+ stock photos
Analytics and tracking
As you can see, it’s not quite all the bells & whistles that ActiveCampaign offers, but you do get the basics. For many marketers and business owners, it will have all the features needed.
And, if you take a look at the features, you might notice that Aweber has everything you need. Plus, it also has landing pages, although there isn’t a custom domain functionality yet (it’s coming soon).
One thing I would say is that ActiveCampaign has much more advanced email and triggers than Aweber, as well as a more visual automation builder.
I find Aweber lacks a little in ease of use personally, as the dashboard looks somewhat old. Then again, ease of use is something that is down to opinions, so that might not be the case for you.
Key Differences In Features
In terms of features, ActiveCampaign does take the crown and you will see why it does in a second. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that ActiveCampaign is the perfect solution, as it does come at a little more expensive price.
So, if you aren’t going to use these features you may as well go for Aweber. If you might need them, you should consider ActiveCampaign.
ActiveCampaign completely dominates email marketing, despite also offering a bigger variety of communication tools.
Here are some of the features only available in AC:
conversations (i.e manage conversations from AC dashboard)
more comprehensive email split-testing
more comprehensive automation (with goals, lead scoring, etc)
better site & event tracking
Chrome extension for Gmail
I think it’s fair to say that ActiveCampaign wins in email marketing. If you’re somebody that wants to get as much out of your email marketing as possible and have the best possible tools, you should consider it as it has some of the strongest email marketing tools on the market.
On the flip side, there is no need to go for ActiveCampaign if you just need simple automations, tagging, and a couple of newsletters.
Aweber Has Landing Pages and Stock Images
Aweber takes the point in this regard, as it has landing pages and stock images.
ActiveCampaign? Doesn’t have any.
With Aweber, you can create basic landing pages to help you collect emails. And, Aweber also comes with stock photos that you can use in your emails or landing pages.
The landing page builder can be used through their drag and drop editor to easily create beautiful landing pages quickly.
These two little bonus features/perks can be beneficial in your social media campaigns, as you can collect emails and use the stock images.
They can also be useful for social media advertising or a range of other places outside of social media like for example on your blog.
Killer tip: Try to not use images in your emails as heavy image HTML code is likely to send your emails straight to the “promotions tab” where you will get a lower open rate.
The next key difference in the features is the fact that ActiveCampaign has a CRM tool.
Its a brilliant CRM tool that lets you automate your entire sales processes including advanced tasks such as contacting your sales team. I must admit it’s quite advanced and as a blogger, I have never felt the need to use it.
However, if you’re looking for a powerful CRM, then ActiveCampaign could be the solution for you.
Some other cool ActiveCampaign CRM features include:
Customer attribution & Path to purchase
You get the point though, ActiveCampaign has a pretty nice CRM.
ActiveCampaign Has a Native SMS Autoresponder
It’s possible to integrate SMS autoresponders with Aweber, but ActiveCampaign has a native SMS autoresponder (if you’re on the right plan).
This means you can set up SMS sequences that will go out directly from your ActiveCampaign dashboard.
SMS sending is only available in certain plans, but we will talk more on that in the pricing section later on.
Now, let’s talk about email deliverability. In case you are unaware, deliverability is the ability to get your emails delivered as the name suggests.
If you have a bad deliverability rate, then your emails are often going to land in the spam folder. On the flip side, if you have a good deliverability rate, they are usually going to land in the inbox or the promotions folder.
I have a whole article on Deliverability if you would like to read more on this topic, but for this article, I am just going to be comparing the Aweber vs ActiveCampaign deliverability.
According to a study by emailtooltester in February 2020, ActiveCampaign emails were delivered 90.2% of the time, whereas Aweber emails were delivered 85.4% of the time.
This is not a big difference at all and I can confirm that as long as you are following deliverability best practices and not sending spammy-looking emails, you shouldn’t run into deliverability issues with either of these autoresponders.
Both of these email marketing platforms have great support teams.
They are available via email support, phone support, and live chat for both platforms. What I would say is that ActiveCampaign has a better knowledge base and better resources. Also, the onboarding process of AC is a little better than the one from Aweber.
Overall though, I have nothing to complain about though with either of their support teams, as they are fast and friendly.
Something also worth noting is that Aweber’s phone support is available more often than the one of ActiveCampaign. I think Aweber’s support team is available on more hours per day, but both support teams are great.
So, if you’re somebody who hates bad support (who isn’t?), there is nothing to worry about with these two companies.
ActiveCampaign has four pricing levels. You can see them below for up to 500 subscribers and annual discounts, however, for the full pricing please visit the website.
The pricing table depends on how many contacts you have, so I can’t show you the full pricing here.
As you can see in the image below, most CRM features are only available in the professional and enterprise plan. However, even the lite plan has key email marketing features such as split-testing, lead tagging, and automation sequences.
If you’re looking for a powerful email marketing tool without all the CRM features in the upper plans, then the lite plan could already be the perfect plan for you.
Even with the “lite” plan, there is a greater selection of triggers than with Aweber.
That shouldn’t come as a surprise, as ActiveCampaign is known to be one of the best email marketing tools on the market. Plus, the selection of automation triggers that ActiveCampaign has is truly huge and beats any email marketing tool I can think of.
Aweber offers a completely free plan which you can use to test things out. Or if it meets your requirements, you can also use it as it’s completely free, forever.
It comes with:
A landing page builder
Not bad for a free autoresponder right?
Now, I’m sure you might be wondering where the limitations are, so we might as well get those out of the way too.
500 Subscribers & 3000 emails per month
No behavior-based automation sequences
No custom domains (coming soon to paid plan only)
Still, the free plan has proven to be one of the best free autoresponder plans.
Aweber’s pricing also depends on the number of contacts that you have, but if you’re just starting, you can use the pricing table below. For full pricing see Aweber website.
Something that I do like about the pricing of Aweber is that the only plan includes all features. There isn’t no messing around in that sense, as SaaS tools can be so annoying when they have all these amazing features, but then they are only available in the most expensive plan that is often severely overpriced.
Of course, you’re not going to get everything in the free plan, but what do you expect?
There is also a free trial available for the Pro version.
ActiveCampaign is one of my favorite email marketing tools of all time.
It has low-cost pricing if you need it in the “lite plan” or it has the big guns in the upper plans. The choice is yours. Saying that even the “light” plan has some of the best email marketing tools out there with advanced automation sequences & triggers, I don’t think you can go wrong with it.
Plus, I also remember when I first signed up, the support and on-boarding were super friendly, so that’s always good too. You can give the ActiveCampaign free trial a shot using the link below.
Aweber is basic but gives you everything you need for a low price. Or, now there is even a free plan available.
I also like how low-cost they are considering that they give you a full autoresponder with automation sequences, as well as landing pages.
So, if you’re looking for a cost-effective solution that does all the things you need, Aweber might be a good option. You can check out both the free trial or the completely free plan using the link below.
I hope you have enjoyed this comparison between ActiveCampaign and Aweber.
Keep in mind, this article is always just a guideline, ActiveCampaign offers a free trial and Aweber has a completely free plan, so don’t shy away from testing them out.
While I personally prefer ActiveCampaign that doesn’t mean it will be the same for you.
If you’re just looking for the basics, then Aweber will probably do the job. Either way, both of these autoresponders are easy to use, efficient, and powerful meaning there isn’t a completely wrong choice.
To get approval, Canva will usually want to see that your content is getting traffic. If you don’t have any traffic, you should first focus on building an audience through blogging or creating YouTube videos.
You can also use social media to promote Canva if you have a large and relevant following.
The Canva affiliate program is best to promote through a blog.
The commissions you can earn with the Canva affiliate program range from 100% to 25%, depending on the plans your referrals purchase.
Here are the following plans that you can promote to earn commissions.
You can promote the free plan which converts really well and then once they need the pro features (which many people will) they will upgrade. The reason I say many people will need the pro features is that the pro features allow you to make transparent backgrounds and also include more designs and templates.
Here are the recommended resources for the grant Cardone affiliate program.
As promised earlier, I am going to be showing you a couple of free resources that will help you succeed in affiliate marketing.
GrooveFunnels is the #1 funnel builder platform and as of right now, they have a free plan available. As an affiliate, this is what you can use to build your own marketing funnels where you can collect emails or simply create bridge pages that you use before your affiliate links to pre-sell the customer.
Facebook ads are great for affiliate marketing, but only when you know how to use them. That’s why Robby Blanchard (the #1 ClickBank affiliate) is hosting a webinar to teach you his exact affiliate marketing process using Facebook ads
According to Wikipedia, “The purchase funnel, or purchasing funnel, is a consumer-focused marketing model that illustrates the theoretical customer journey toward the purchase of a good or service”
In short, it’s the journey that turns a visitor into a customer. This journey is usually illustrated in a funnel-type graph with 4 or 5 steps, as you can see below.
Don’t worry about the stages or steps too much, as that usually depends on the business.
Online, we usually use specific pages to build our sales funnel which are focused on getting conversions. This could be a soft conversion like capturing an email that eventually leads to a hard conversion, for example, a sale.
There are no hard requirements on what goes into a funnel.
If you’re a freelancer on a site like Fiverr or Upwork, that could be part of your funnel and could be where the initial contact is built that pulls them down the rest of the funnel.
For me, I like my funnels to include:
Pages that collect emails
Sales pages (if I am selling a product)
Emails (for follow-ups)
That’s it, nothing too complicated. And, I believe that’s what most people talk about when they mention “funnels”, so I’m going to show you how you can get all these things for free.
Step 1: Picking a Platform
The first step is picking a platform.
As you’re trying to do this all for free, you only have 2 options.
Option 1: MailerLite
Mailerlite is good but doesn’t let you sell products. Plus, they don’t allow affiliate marketing so that will be a big blow for some of you. This option could work for some coaches or other types of service-based businesses or influencers that would just like to keep in contact with their audience.
There is also no custom domain functionality on the free plan.
While Groove doesn’t have email marketing tools (yet), I will show you another free autoresponder later on in this article. For now, just follow through with these steps.
Step 2: Starting to build a Funnel
I’m not going to get too much into detail about using a drag and drop builder.
If you would like to sell a product, you first have to add the product inside of GrooveSell. After you have signed up for Groove, just go to GrooveSell, then add a new product.
Fill in all the requirements for your product such as price and all the other info needed. Then, connect your favorite payment processor like PayPal or Stripe.
If you just want to collect emails and sell affiliate products, there is no need to do this.
In that case, just head over to GroovePages and start building your pages. Here you can select a template and start editing it.
You can drag blocks and elements to make up your page. I think a 4-year-old could do this, so I’m not going to go into too much detail about this.
Once you have built your page, you now need to connect a custom domain.
Connecting a Custom Domain
If you would like to connect a custom domain (which you should), you first need to purchase one.
Not having a custom domain will make you look a little unprofessional, but I guess it’s your choice.
Over at NameCheap, you can get your own domain name for like $7 or $8.
Register it, then follow the tutorial inside of Groove to connect your custom domain. The instructions will show after hitting publish, as it will ask you whether you want to publish on your own domain.
Follow the instructions. They may sound a little confusing at first, but you just copy and paste the record into your NameCheap DNS record. Once you have done so, it can take up to 24 hours for the domain to be available in GrooveFunnels.
You can also ask the NameCheap support to help you if you have 0 experience with domains.
Step 3: Adding an Autoresponder
Now, we have all the front-end parts of our funnel, the pages.
However, we want the system to shoot emails at our leads on autopilot after they give us their email addresses. Or, at least I do.
But, what you can’t do is send Email A automatically if they click here, but if they don’t then send another email automatically. That’s only available if you upgrade for $19 per month, but if you’re just starting out I guess you don’t need that yet.
However, it will really just help you make more money and $19 per month is nothing, but again your choice.
Write some emails related to your product. This post isn’t meant to be some email marketing lesson, nor a copywriting lesson, but I will give you some tips.
First look for somebody successful selling the same type of product as you, now opt-in to their emails.
Take a look at how they are selling their products and do something very similar.
You don’t want to try to be too “salesy” in each email, just use simple language and talk to your lead like they were your friend. If the lead likes you, they are more likely to open your emails which will increase your sales.
Step 4: Integrating Aweber + GrooveFunnels
Lastly, you need to integrate (connect) aweber and Groove to get this whole thing talking and working.
For this, just watch the video below:
Now you have a fully functional free sales funnel that can:
Sell your products
Collect email addresses

Welcome to my SEMrush affiliate program review or if you prefer, my berush review.
If you stick around through this review, I’m not only going to show you what’s inside of this awesome affiliate program, but I will also show you some cool ideas and strategies on how you can promote SEMrush.
And, believe me, once you see the juicy commissions SEMrush has to offer, you will probably want to get a piece of the cake.
Plus, who doesn’t like promoting a product that is truly helpful and offers tremendous benefits?
Since then, with over 5,000,000 members, it has become one of the most popular tools for SEO and PPC on the market.
Plus, it’s even used by some of the biggest tech companies in the world including eBay, HP, and Quora.
What Is The Target Audience?
Thanks to the long list of features that SEMrush offers, the target audience is extremely broad.
This means you have a wide choice of audiences you can choose from when promoting SEMrush.
Here are the three main target audiences for SEMrush:
Businesses of all sizes that want to rank their websites
Bloggers/affiliates who want to rank their blogs/websites
Marketing agencies/Freelancers that use it for clients
Problems SEMrush Solves
The main problem SEMrush solves is not having enough data for PPC/SEO campaigns. It provides accurate and thorough data on search volume, backlinks, CPC, and many other useful metrics for your SEM campaigns.
However, it also solves a long list of other problems including:
Technical SEO errors
Not knowing where competitor’s are advertising
Not being able to optimize on-page correctly
And a couple of other things too, but you get the point… SEMrush is the tool for businesses that want to take their SEO & PPC seriously.
If you would like to give it a try for yourself, you can check out the extended 14 trial which you can cancel any time (Yes, that’s an affiliate link).
Commissions, Payments & Sticky Cookie
Let’s talk money.
The SEMrush affiliate program is outstanding in this aspect. Not only does it offer high commissions, but it also has a killer sticky cookie and a low payment threshold.
SEMrush is a SaaS tool and if you have been an affiliate for a SaaS tool before, you will know that they are often quite generous and pay 20-40% commissions.
And, SEMrush is no different. It pays big juicy 40% commissions, recurring commissions.
This means, if you refer someone and they pay $99 per month, you’re going to earn $39.98 per month. Not bad right?
Now, imagine you refer 100 people, suddenly you’re earning $3980 per month… pretty lucrative to say the least. Plus, if you refer some agencies or bigger businesses to SEMrush, they’re likely going to go on the bigger plans because of their needs, so you will earn even bigger commissions.
Of course, referring 100 people does not happen overnight and you will have to build up an audience first, but I just wanted to highlight what’s possible if you put the effort into promoting SEMrush consistently.
Also, it does depend on whether you make sales, so earnings are in no shape or form guaranteed, just like with any other affiliate program.
Payments & Threshold
The SEMrush affiliate program allows two payment methods which are PayPal and Wire Transfer.
For PayPal there is only a $50 threshold which is insanely low compared to other affiliate programs, especially considering the commission and price levels.
To put this into context, the Fiverr affiliate program which pays much smaller commissions has a PayPal threshold of $100.
SEMrush does have a $1000 threshold for Wire Transfer which is quite common. So, in the beginning, make sure to withdraw to PayPal as the Threshold is much lower.
Now, while that cookie is there if they purchase SEMrush, the sale will be accredited to you.
Some affiliate programs don’t have sticky cookies, but SEMrush has a 10-year sticky cookie. This means, if you send somebody over to SEMrush and they purchase in that 10-year lifetime span of the sticky cookie, you’re going to earn the commission.
A 10-year sticky cookie is basically a lifetime sticky cookie. In this time, SEMrush will also run retargeting ads which will increase the likelihood of them purchasing SEMrush tremendously.
This is something I’m a big fan of, as it’s just going to make it so much easier to earn commissions.
The promotional material is something that impressed me about the SEMrush affiliate program.
It has a huge (and I mean huge) selection of promotional material ranging from landing pages to free courses. And, it’s not like they just give you a couple of each type of promotional material, you get a huge selection.
The promotional material is not only available in English, but also in Spanish, German, French, and Russian.
Let’s start by talking about the landing pages and links that you can promote.
The selection is enormous and there is a landing page for each main feature that SEMrush has.
For example, if you want to promote SEMrush for the use of Keyword research, you can send your audience to this landing page:
I also like that the CTA is “Get Free Trial”, as that makes it compliant with GDPR and similar types of rules, as it doesn’t make a promise without the user getting a free trial.
They have landing pages like this one for all the main features such as (but not limited to):
Plus, they also have a wide range of other landing pages including blog posts, squeeze pages, and more. In case that wasn’t enough, you can also create deep links to any SEMrush page you wish.
In terms of deep links and landing pages that you can choose from, I must say SEMrush kills it.
Free Courses + E-Books
You don’t even have to create your own resources to promote SEMrush, as SEMrush has done it for you.
There are several free courses and E-books that you can send to your audience.
Once they arrive on any SEMrush page, they will be attributed to you if they purchase in the next 10 years, as we discussed earlier in the sticky cookie section.
This means if you give away these free resources using your affiliate link, for any user who clicks on them and later purchases SEMrush (even up to 10 years later), you will receive the commission.
The courses and E-books are on a variety of topics such as Keyword research and content marketing. They are also designed to promote the use of SEMrush and SEMrush will also retarget them with Facebook and Google Ads to increase conversions.
Again, I don’t think there is much more, that SEMrush could do to make it easier for affiliates.
Banners & Widgets
SEMrush does an outstanding job here too.
There are several banners that you can choose from, but what impresses me the most are the widgets that you can add to your sites.
Take a look at some of them and you will see why they convert well.
They have clear CTA’s and spark curiosity in your website visitor, so the conversions are often going to have much higher conversions than traditional banner ads.
Plus, all the widgets and banners come in a range of different colors to match your branding.
Offers & Campaigns
Lastly, we also have some offers and campaigns available to us.
Offers are available sometimes and as the name suggests are special offers that you can promote to your audience. It may be extended trials, discounts, or something along those lines.
Campaigns are components of the other promotional material suited to drive the user to one specific landing page. For example, there will be widgets, banners, and landing pages that all suit together which can help you optimize and target your campaigns as well as possible.
Here, take the example of the Content toolkit campaign below.
Your earning potential doesn’t just come from the commissions you can earn.
On top of that, you can also earn from the incentives and competitions inside the SEMrush affiliate program. And, there’s a lot of them…
New incentives are added every month and when you’re new, you’re going to get some additional incentives to give you an added motivational boost.
For example, if you refer 5 sales (initial sales, not rebills) shortly after joining, there is a $1000 bonus. Not bad huh?
Other incentives and competitions for everyone usually include writing a specific piece of content and submitting it via email, the best ones can then win cash prizes. Winning pieces of content are also often shared on their social media channels to help you gain some exposure.
Again, the SEMrush affiliate program smashes it here as there are always incentives available. For example, right now in my SEMrush affiliate dashboard, there are 5 different incentives/Competitions I can take part in one of them has a $12,000 prize pool.
I haven’t needed the support for the affiliate program, but I’m going to assume it’s pretty good. Why?
First of all, the general support for SEMrush is pretty with extremely responsive email support and also phone support.
Plus, when you make your first SEMrush affiliate sale, your affiliate manager reaches out to you and talks to you about how you can make the sales more consistent. A company that does this probably has great support measures in place, otherwise, they would not have the time to give affiliates fantastic support which they didn’t even ask for.
No matter how great something is, there is always room for improvement.
That’s why I’m going to name 3 key things where I think the SEMrush affiliate program can improve.
Don’t get me wrong, the SEMrush affiliate program does an outstanding job in every single aspect, but I just thought I would name a couple of things that could make it even better.
All of these are just potential improvements, there is a reason this section isn’t named “cons” or anything along those lines. I may even be a little harsh here, as the affiliate program is already excellent.
Educational Material for affiliates
Firstly, the educational material for affiliates. It’s got tons of material on SEO and content marketing already which of course will also help affiliates, but I feel like there could be more tailored specifically towards affiliates.
The education hub is packed with cool videos on content marketing and SEO, but once you go to the “affiliate marketing” section, you will find 5 blog posts, some videos, and some great webinars.
So, you do get some very decent material, especially combined with the SEO and content marketing material that is helpful for affiliates too.
However, I feel like there could be maybe some videos that explain to a beginner how to promote SEMrush to people who need it.
Or some additional videos that could help spark a beginner’s mind on angles they could use to promote SEMrush. Compared to the rest of the educational section it just feels a little emptier.
Yeah, I’m probably being a little harsh here, especially given that this is an affiliate program, not some affiliate marketing course.
However, SEMrush has set its standard to go above and beyond, so I’m just naming some potential improvements. That being said, I’m a little affiliate and SEMrush is a globally-recognized leading SEM tool, so don’t take this too seriously.
Update: There will be more content coming in this section in particular, so this point is not as valid anymore.
My next improvement idea is email swipes.
Personally, I never really use email swipes when affiliate programs have them, as I feel nobody knows your audience better than you. Plus, SEMrush will of course follow up with the leads you send over.
But the only reason I mention this is that other affiliate programs have them, so it’s something that could help their affiliates too.
Also, I guess it could be helpful for the affiliates that aren’t native English speakers but promote to an English audience. I imagine they would find the templates fairly useful as they could edit them a little and grab ideas from them.
Another potential small improvement for the SEMrush affiliate program is having a Facebook group for affiliates.
I know there is the SEMrush Facebook group for paid members, but I think creating one for affiliates would not be a bad idea either.
Here the affiliate managers could update affiliates with news, monthly contests, and whatever else is suited.
Plus, the affiliates that have YouTube channels or host webinars could network together, help each other grow, and potentially have each other on as guests.
Again, it’s just an idea that could be a potential improvement. I must admit, I don’t even use Facebook groups a lot, but I feel like this is something that could add value to this already fantastic affiliate program.
As I did promise at the beginning of this SEMrush affiliate program review, I will also show you 5 ideas on how you can promote SEMrush.
Hopefully, they will spark some ideas on how you can promote SEMrush, as the commissions are great and the tool itself is even better.
1. Educating Your Audience Using a Course
The first and probably also the best converting way to promote SEMrush is through creating a course.
Doing so, you educate your audience on how to use SEMrush to gain the maximum benefits. Once your audience has the benefits in front of their eyes and a clear path on how to obtain them, why wouldn’t they join SEMrush?
Think about the problems SEMrush solves and the audience that has these problems. Now create a course showing those people how to solve those problems using SEMrush.
You can even use one of the courses SEMrush already has inside of their promotional material if you don’t want to create on yourself.
This way the only thing you have to do is send the right kind of people into the course.
Also, a good example of somebody who used a course to promote SEMrush is Craig Campbell SEO.
He created an entire course on building links and uploaded it on his YouTube channel.
In one of the videos (the one below), he educates his audience on how to use SEMrush and the benefits it brings.
He didn’t just create that one video, he gave away an entire course that helped his audience with link-building, something a lot of people struggle with.
The video above is just a good example of how educating an audience on how to solve their problems/gain benefits through using SEMrush can work well.
2. Resource Page on Your Website and Banners
A simple, yet effective way to promote SEMrush is in the recommended resources page of your website.
I have been meaning to set one up for myself, but I’m terrible at using Elementor and haven’t got round to it yet.
Anyway, if you have a website or even a social media page, setting up a recommended resource page can work extremely well too. Name the purpose/benefits of the tool and some people browsing that page might just pick up a trial.
It’s simple but can earn you some great commissions.
The same goes for banners and the awesome widgets SEMrush provides. I haven’t tested them out yet, as only a part of the audience on this blog is into SEO and blogging, but I might do.
However, if you have an audience into SEO, blogging, PPC, or similar topics, definitely give those tools a shot, as they can help you earn some nice commissions.
3. Informational Content
Promoting SEMrush through informational content can work well too.
This could be YouTube videos, blog posts, webinars, or any type of content that educates the user. It works similarly to the free course method I mentioned earlier, as it educates the user on how they can obtain a benefit by using SEMrush.
People looking for reviews, comparisons, and rankings of SEO tools are interested in SEO tools.
This means content like this converts extremely well, although you should be aware that it’s usually quite competitive too.
That being said, it’s worth it because of the buyer intent which means high conversions.
This type of content includes:
Reviews (i.e SEMrush review)
Comparisons (i.e SEMrush vs other SEO tools)
Best Rankings (i.e Best SEO tools for…)
Again, it’s just another solid way of promoting SEMrush which you can consider.
5. Paid Advertising
As we mentioned earlier, SEMrush has some pretty juicy commissions which will usually earn you at least $39.98 per month for every paid user that you refer to SEMrush.
With commissions this high, it’s very much possible to promote SEMrush with paid ads.
While you of course can’t advertise your affiliate link directly, you can create a bridge page or maybe combine paid traffic with the free course method we mentioned earlier.
Usually, recurring sales on SEMrush will last for years, as it’s a software that helps businesses grow, so if you’re spending $30-$50 per trial, you could be extremely profitable. Every time you make a sale, you will earn at least $39.88 per month.
I just thought I would highlight the opportunity to use paid ads with this affiliate program, as they can work great thanks to the high commissions SEMrush offers.
This isn’t the case for all affiliate programs, for example, you couldn’t do this with Amazon’s affiliate program which pays 1-10%.
SEMrush Affiliate Program Review: Conclusion
SEMrush offers one of the best affiliate programs with great commissions and a huge selection of promotional material. If you put the effort in and come up with a decent strategy, you’re likely going to be off to a good start with the SEMrush affiliate program.
There are also many different potential audiences for this SaaS tool, so you have a lot of opportunities to promote it to an audience that you understand well.
Overall, I would rate it a solid 9/10 as it performs well in every aspect an affiliate program can perform well in.
If you have any questions regarding the affiliate program, feel free to leave a comment and I will get back to you within 12-24 hours.
Switching between a ton of different tools just to get the data you need can be pretty annoying, especially when it’s SEO metrics.
Luckily, there are some great pieces of all-in-one SEO software that solve this problem. In this article, we are going to take a look at the best pieces of all-in-one SEO software to help you find the best one for your business.
These pieces of software will not only help you run more effective and efficient SEO campaigns, but they will also actually save you some money as purchasing their features separately could get quite costly.
Using them is truly a win-win situation.
Best All-In-One SEO Software 2020
Here are the best pieces of all-in-one SEO software:
By the way, these are totally ranked in order and there are some significant differences between them which we are going to cover a little later on. There are also some other great SEO tools, but these are by far the best all-in-one SEO solutions on the market.
Firstly, we have the undisputed champion, SEMrush.
SEMrush is known in the SEO industry for providing a tremendous amount of both quality and quantity when it comes to its features. Whether you are looking to use it for your keyword research, link-building, on-page optimization, or even for your technical SEO and site health, SEMrush does the job.
In fact, it even outperforms a good 90% of its competition in the features individually. What I mean by this is, for example, the keyword magic tool inside of SEMrush is better than all other keyword research tools on the market, despite the huge list of other features they offer.
Keep in mind, these are only the SEO features. SEMrush comes with even more tools for social media and PPC campaigns. For example, the advertising spy feature which lets you spy on where your competitors are advertising.
SEMrush is going to be your competitive advantage if you use it.
If you’re using it and your competition isn’t, you’re going to be able to get much more data than them. Data which will give you a cutting edge and make you work smarter than them.
On the flip side, if you aren’t using it and your competitors are, well they will be able to beat you in every aspect of their SEO campaigns.
Your links? They can mimic or steal them.
Your keywords? They’ll steal them.
Content ideas neither of you thought of? Well, they’ll find them.
And, that doesn’t even include the features tailored towards the technical side of SEO. If you’re blogging in a competitive niche or doing any type of competitive SEO, you’re going to need SEMrush to even keep up with your competition.
Ahrefs is also an all-in-one SEO tool, but one thing it really does well is everything to do with backlinks. It has the largest database of backlinks, so it can’t be competed with, in that regard.
However, when it comes to anything to do with keywords, SEMrush has the upper hand and by quite a good margin. Plus, Ahrefs lower plans are also severely limited in what keyword positions you can see and things like that.
One of my friends uses Ahrefs for client link-building and he’s on the $99 per month plan and can’t even see keyword positions over 20 which is extremely annoying.
However, don’t get me wrong, Ahrefs is still a fantastic tool, and if you are looking to do any type of mass client link-building you should probably be using it.
The only reason it’s behind SEMrush is because of how good SEMrush is, not because Ahrefs is bad or anything like that. I’m just not a big fan of the limits it has and the keyword tools as the traffic and difficulty data seem just a little off compared to other tools like SEMrush.
Ahrefs also comes with great technical SEO tools that help you monitor your site health, but again not quite as advanced as SEMrush.
But, that’s not all, they also have some great features to combine with this huge database of links. For example, if you were performing broken link building campaigns, you could find all the broken links of a website with a click of a button.
Then, create new pieces of content for those broken links, contact the website with your new content, and earn yourself some nice links. Conversion rates of broken link building campaigns are usually great as you are offering some type of value to the person who you are asking for a link.
There are also so many other great features for link-building and monitoring backlinks. Although, personally, I find them a little overwhelming and over the top, as I don’t do any link-building client work.
If that’s something you do, consider going for Ahrefs. But, if you don’t stick to SEMrush, as it has everything you need in terms of backlinks, plus a lot more in everything else.
Next on our list is Mangools which is also one of the best all-in-one SEO tools.
Mangools SEO tools include:
The keyword finder is one of the best on the market, it’s almost as good as the SEMrush keyword magic tool. I find they are both the most accurate as well in terms of difficulty.
Other than that, the features are pretty standard. SERP checker & SERP Watcher perform as you would expect and are quite standard.
The only thing that in my opinion needs some improvement is the link miner and also the site profiler. I find the data to be a little off sometimes or missing which therefore affects the site profiler which displays metrics based on the data.
One thing I also noticed about Mangools is that the keyword finder can take forever to load which I am personally not a fan of.
This might sound a little crazy to some of you, but I think Moz is the most overrated all-in-one SEO tool on the market.
I have some friends who are deeply into SEO and do it a lot more than me and guess what? They say exactly the same.
The metrics inside of Moz are kind of annoying, as people talk about them like they are traffic. I can go and purchase a GSA blast for $5 and will have an insanely high Moz DA, but my site will never rank.
It’s the same with that stupid “spam score”e they have. Remember I told you about my link-building friend earlier?
He got a link for a client from a site that had 6K organic visits per month, but the Moz spam score was 51%. The client flipped out and demanded a refund for this reason.
Well if Google is sending this site 6,000 visitors per month, what makes Moz think that it’s spammy?
For some reason, it’s always the people who don’t really know a lot about SEO who love Moz. I’m not an SEO pro myself, but I have some basic knowledge around it through running affiliate blogs and I can tell you that I would never in my life pay $100+ for a Moz subscription.
Is It That Bad?
No, I am just comparing it to tools with similar price ranges like SEMrush. In comparison to SEMrush, Ahrefs, or SEO Powersuite it has no chance.
And, I haven’t even talked about the data yet.
First of all, the backlinks. The backlink data is alright, once it updates around 5 months after Ahrefs and SEMrush. Ahrefs is usually the quickest then SEMrush and a couple of later Moz will show up the links too.
The real ugly side of Moz? The keyword data and ease of use.
Firstly, the keyword data is so off. Keyword data is usually a little off, but it is so off. Keywords that I was getting 100+ visits per month from were showing up in Moz as 0 searches per month, while others would at least show 50-100.
Normally, when something is really hard to use it’s for a reason and has some sort of special power or benefit behind it. This power or benefit is yet to be found with Moz.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good tool, but it doesn’t really compare to the rest of this list.
Ubersuggest is kind of still in development to be fair and I think it could have been above Moz if you consider the pricing.
Its data is inaccurate, especially the backlinks and keyword difficulty.
However, it also has the following benefit:
It’s low cost
Keyword suggestions are great
Volume is fairly accurate
It does also have some tools for technical SEO, but I find it to be mostly wrong or useless notices. For example, it flags my site for duplicate content and a whole load of other errors, even though the errors are not problems for Google.
If I had to sum up Ubersuggest in one sentence it would be: Good for keyword ideas, terrible for backlinks.
Best All-In-One SEO Software: Final Thoughts
I hope this article has been helpful in your choice of all-in-one SEO software.
Keep in mind that if a piece of software made this list, it already does a good job, even if I may have been a little harsh on some of them.
But, in my opinion, the clear winner is SEMrush because of the long list of powerful features it provides.
Feel free to check out the 14-day trial offer for yourself, if you would like to give it a go.
