How much does it cost to build a sales funnel?

Good question. The short answer is it depends. There are many factors, such as the components, the software use, and whether you are building it yourself, but we’ll uncover the details throughout this article.

What is a Sales Funnel?

A sales funnel is the process of turning a casual browser into a paying customer. It’s made up of a series of steps, each designed to nudge the user closer to becoming a paying customer.

In short, it’s the journey from first seeing your brand to becoming a paid customer.

The average conversion rate for websites is about two to three percent, which means that for every 100 people who visit your site, only two will become paying customers.

With a sales funnel in place, you can increase that number significantly. The best part is once you have a sales funnel set up, it runs automatically.

You can sit back and watch as leads turn into customers and customers turn into raving fans. But, of course, all of this comes at a cost…

How Much Does It Cost To Build a Sales Funnel?

The price of building a sales funnel varies greatly. It depends on the software you use, whether you do it yourself or hire someone and the level of customization you need.

Some options like GetResponse can cost as little as $49 per month. However, hiring someone and using the most advanced software like Kartra, WordPress, or Hubspot can cost $1000 to $50,000.

It depends on the components of your funnel and how much time and money you’re willing to invest.

To get an idea of how much it would cost to build a funnel using some of the most popular software platforms, we’ve compiled a list of prices below:

  • – Kartra: starts at $97 per month
  • – GetResponse: starts at $49 per month
  • – ClickFunnels: starts at $97 per month
  • – GrooveFunnels: starts at $197 per month
  • – Dropfunnels: starts at $37 per month.

The best way to find out how much it will cost to build a funnel for your business is to contact a specialist. They can assess your needs and give you an accurate quote. However, as a general rule of thumb, if you’re looking for a high-quality funnel that produces results, you should expect to pay anywhere from $1000 to $50,000.

… If you are hiring someone to build it for you.

Again, if you do this yourself, you will only need the software.

Top 5 Sales Funnel Builders

Kartra

Software to build a drop servicing business

Kartra is my favorite sales funnel builder. It’s the software I use for both my agency and courses, so I use this thing a LOT.

Its core features include:

  • landing pages
  • email marketing
  • membership sites
  • sales pages
  • advanced checkouts
  • Calendar scheduling
  • Video hosting
  • Surveys and Forms
  • Affiliate Management (Get others to sell your product for you)

It also integrates with many other software platforms, including WordPress, ClickFunnels, Zapier, and more.

Example of a Sales Funnel With Kartra

On my home page on Five Star Funnel, I collect email addresses offering free courses:

After they enter their email, they then go into an email sequence… Which sends automated emails.

Some of these will sell my paid SEO writing course or products to help people get started with Twitter affiliate marketing.

Later on, I may then sell coaching or consulting services. Or even send them toward my agency services.

I also have a paid product in mind which will cost $47 per month that helps people start their brand and grow it using multiple platforms.

Once I’ve launched that, I can put them into a sequence that promotes it. They’re in my email list on Kartra, so I can choose everyone who opted into that list and build a sequence behind it to encourage that.

P.S Feel free to go through it too if this all sounds interesting, and you don’t have to buy šŸ˜‰

But do you see how many opportunities I have to sell my products during the customer’s journey?

I find it pretty cool.

Kartra Automation

Another thing I like about it is how powerful automation is…

You are running a digital marketing agency with a $1200 per month offer.

You have a pricing page that talks about it and an email list of hot leads that are pre-qualified because they filled out a form, and you added them to a list because they generate enough revenue and your service would help them.

Imagine one of them goes back to the page and checks it out because they’re interested in it.

You can send them an automated email from Kartra that says, “Hey, I saw you checked out this service. Let’s schedule a 30-minute consultation where we talk about growing your business.”

Now that lead has become 100x more likely to convert. So you can close them on that call or a future one.

GetResponse

GetResponse is another popular option for building sales funnels. It offers all the basics you need to start, such as landing pages, email marketing, and webinars. Plus, it integrates with many other software, including: Salesforce CRM, Shopify, and WordPress.

What I like about GetResponse is their conversion funnel feature:

It shows you some great metrics, such as the lead value, making it easier for you to scale. It’s definitely my favorite autoresponder, but I did switch to Kartra as it has WAY more features.

ClickFunnels

How much does it cost to build a sales funnel?

ClickFunnels is one of the most popular options for funnel builders. It’s packed full of features, including: page templates, order forms, payment processing, and more. Plus, it integrates with a host of other software.

It also comes with a ton of educational material by the founder Russel Brunson.

I’ve used ClickFunnels a few times, and it’s a decent tool. I find it quite similar to Kartra, but it doesn’t have as many features.

Some of the features that Kartra has that ClickFunnels doesn’t include:

  • Kartra Agency
  • Video hosting (this will literally cost you an extra $99 per month)
  • Calendar
  • Funnel templates by famous marketers like Frank kern
  • Helpdesks
  • Better automation

GrooveFunnels

GrooveFunnels is a newer option that’s quickly gaining popularity. It offers all the features you need to build sales funnels such as:

  • landing pages
  • email marketing
  • payment processing
  • order forms

It also has some great features that the other platforms don’t offer such as:

  • an app store
  • built-in help desk software

GrooveFunnels is still in beta, but it’s already a great option and well worth checking out.

It does offer a free version, but it’s quite limited.

The paid version which you can still get lifetime access to for a one-time fee is much better. I used it for one of my clients, and it was pretty good but still a little buggy.

DropFunnels

DropFunnels is a great option as it’s hosted on WordPress – without all the technical headaches of a WordPress site.

It offers all the features you need to build high-converting sales funnels such as:

  • landing pages
  • email marketing
  • order forms
  • payment processing

Plus the pages are FAST, which is proven to increase your conversion rate too.

The biggest downside is that it doesn’t have as many integrations as the other platforms.

Final Thoughts

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post, as we have seen throughout the price of a sales funnel greatly varies.

If you’re making it yourself you only need to pay for the software, which is quite affordable.

But if you are hiring an expert it could be a little costly.

Most of the tools really don’t require that many technical skills though, so if you are a small business owner you may want to give it a go.

Again, the one I use is Kartra, and using the button below you can get an EXTENDED trial.

That’s 30 days, instead of 14… Plus 30-day money back guarantee in case you forget to cancel.
