Affiliate Disclosure: Look, I'm working my ass off delivering value to you. So, yes this blog is monetized through affiliate products. They are true recommendations and if you purchase them, I probably earn a commission (at no additional cost to you).
Email marketing is extremely important for affiliate marketing.
It allows affiliates to stay connected with their leads which also helps them generate repeat business.
When you’re just starting out, you might be looking for a free autoresponder for affiliate marketing. Now, up until recently there wasn’t a free option available, at least not one I knew of.
However, recently an existing autoresponder that allows affiliate marketing has come out and added a free plan.
This means, there is now a free autoresponder for affiliate marketing.
Free Autoresponder For Affiliate Marketing
Up until recently Aweber used to start at $19 per month, however, they are actually offering a free plan now.
What’s inside?
- Autoresponder
- Unlimited Landing Pages
- Email Templates
- Up to 500 contacts
As you can see, the Aweber free plan is everything you need to get going with Affiliate marketing. It even comes with landing pages!
Use Aweber’s Free Plan! (Seriously Free, forever.)
Of course, as it’s completely free, there are going to be a couple of limitations.
The main one being no behavior-based automation sequences.
For example, if you send an email, you can’t make it resend automatically based on whether they opened it or clicked a link.
But, hey it’s free, so you can’t complain.
Anything Else You Need To Know?
Not really, but you should make sure you are using a custom domain when sending emails.
The reason for this is if you are using a Gmail email to send automated emails, the emails will go straight to spam.
A custom domain will cost $10 or so, but if you don’t have a custom domain nobody is going to even see your emails.
If nobody sees your emails, then, nobody is going to open them or buy from you.
Best Practises For Getting Your Emails Delivered?
As you are looking for a free autoresponder for affiliate marketing, I am going to assume you are quite new.
For that reason, I just wanted to give you a little guidance on getting your emails delivered into the inbox which is really important for the reasons I mentioned earlier.
- Use a Custom Domain
- Test your emails & Tweak them
- Don’t send spammy emails
- Don’t use super-fancy templates
- Clean your list regularily

What Free Autoresponders For Affiliate Marketing Are Available?
Aweber is the only free autoresponder for affiliate marketing. Although MailerLite and MailChimp are free, they do not allow affiliate marketing.
This means, if you are looking for a free autoresponder for affiliate marketing, Aweber is your only option.
What Other Autoresponders For Affiliate Marketing Are Good?
Here are some other autoresponders that are good too, but they are not free.
- GetResponse
- ConvertKit
- ActiveCampaign
- Kartra
- SendLane
If you want to read a full article on them, read: 6 Best Autoresponders For Affiliate Marketing.
But, keep in mind they are not free, unlike Aweber.
Where To Find Free Traffic For Your Email List
Because you wanted a free autoresponder, I am guessing you want free traffic too.
So, here are some places you can find free traffic:
- Facebook Groups
- Reddit & Other Forums
- YouTube
When you’re starting out, I recommend just giving away a lead magnet to get people to opt-in to your list.
You can aim to get 10 people per day into the list per day by messaging or just engaging with people on the channels above. After 30 days, you will then have an email list of around 300 people per day which is great.

Free Autoresponder For Affiliate Marketing vs Paid: What’s The Difference?
The difference between a free autoresponder and a paid autoresponder other than the price are the features.
Here are some features you will only find in paid autoresponders:
- Custom domain landing pages
- Behaviour-based automations
- CRM
But, some beginners who are just starting out might not need these, so the free autoresponder for affiliate marketing option Aweber, might work too.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, we do finally have a free autoresponder for affiliate marketing.
Yes, it’s not quite advanced and it does not offer all the features paid autoresponders do, but that’s why it’s free.
Considering it’s free, you really can’t complain, so why not give it a go?

Hi there as you have guessed it, I am new to email marketing and affiliate marketing, I literally have no budget to string my shoes together. So would you say to me the free option is even worth my while or I just must get the paid one to move my business growth faster?
Personally, I’m not a big fan of starting everything for free, because that normally means you don’t have any skills yet either. You can consider going into something like freelancing where you can for example learn SEO writing, earn some money and at the same time learn a skill which will help you for affiliate marketing.
However, there are plenty of people who kill it with free methods, but you’re just at a little disadvantage. But, if you understand an audience, their problems, etc. then it won’t matter if you have limited features.
So, if you feel like you know exactly what you’re doing, who you’re targeting and which problems the products solve, then there is no problem going with a free autoresponder. However, if the plan is just to play around with some free products, then you’re probably going to have a hard time.
Hope this helps.
