Welcome to my BRUTALLY-HONEST Savage affiliates review, in which I will reveal all the contents inside of Savage affiliates to help you find out if this course is for you.
I will also give you a list of topics that I recommend researching outside of Savage affiliates if you want to purchase it, as learning those topics will help you succeed.
I feel like they are not thoroughly covered inside of the course.
The course has over 30 hours of video training, so that this article will be quite long, but it will help you determine exactly what to expect when purchasing Savage affiliates.

Other video courses with this much content cost $997 or more.
The content inside is pretty detailed, too, and will take you from Zero to Hero in affiliate marketing. First, you’ll learn how to research niches and affiliate programs, then generate endless free traffic and, lastly, convert it.
Plus, you’ll know it works because well… So here I am, a student of this course, and you found my website.

What Is Savage Affiliates?
Savage affiliates is an affiliate marketing course created by Franklin Hatchett.
Originally, it was launched in 2018, but there have been 2 major updates to Savage Affiliates since then.
This review will be about Savage Affiliates 2.0, the newest version as of 2020.
The course comes with:
- 30 hours of over the shoulder training
- Private Facebook Group for Members
- Training on all types of affiliate marketing
About Franklin Hatchett
Franklin Hatchett is an internet entrepreneur and YouTuber with around 400,000 YouTube subscribers.
He started a couple of years ago, mainly with affiliate marketing & SEO but then later got into dropshipping and software as a service (SaaS) too.
Franklin Hatchett has generated millions of dollars between his businesses – so he’s a pretty good marketer, to say the least.
In Savage affiliates, he teaches you those marketing skills and how you can apply them to your own affiliate marketing business.
What Does The Savage Affiliates Training Cover?
The training is huge.
There are around 10 modules, all on different aspects of affiliate marketing.
Here are the 10 modules:
- Affiliate Marketing Introduction
- Affiliate Products to promote
- Building your website asset
- SEO Google Traffic Training
- The Email Automation Academy
- Free Traffic
- Paid Traffic
- Student Case Study
- Amazon Affiliate Marketing
Only in Upsell:
- Done-For-You Affiliate Systems
- Launch Jacking & Web hosting blueprint
- The Funnel Academy
We will talk about each module individually to see whether the course is a good fit for you.
Savage Affiliates Review: Is The Training Still Up To Date In 2021?
Yes, it is.
The course teaches an SEO strategy that is based on reviews and informational supporting articles…
This strategy will always work, and it’s the same reason why my site is still ranking today.
Besides SEO, it also teaches you
- Landing pages
- Free traffic
- Paid ads
All of the above are still used heavily today and won’t go away anytime soon.
The savage affiliates 2.0 course doesn’t teach you some secret way to make money online that could suddenly not work.
Instead: It focuses on teaching you REAL-MARKETING skills that will always help you generate leads and sales.
Whether it’s building high-converting funnels, generating free traffic with social media, or running an SEO/Paid ads campaign – these are high-value skills that will be around for a while.
So, yes, the affiliate marketing skills that are taught in Savage-affiliates 2.0 STILL work today. And they will work in 1 year, 5 years, etc.
Is The Facebook Group Still Active?
It’s 2021 – so the Facebook group is not as active as it once was.
However, it’s still moderated by James Hussey, and you can still ask questions to get answers. Every question still gets an answer, and you can make some pretty decent connections in there as there are so many owners of big blogs... Definitely still a plus.
Affiliate Marketing Introduction
This course is designed for complete beginners, so there is a module just explaining affiliate marketing, what it is, and how it works.
Pretty standard stuff.
Affiliate Products To Promote
Savage affiliates will also help you find affiliate products.
It talks a little about problem-solving and helps you find some lucrative affiliate programs, but this is pretty standard.
It covers stuff like Clickbank, Amazon Affiliates, ShareASale, finding private affiliate programs and more.
Building Your Website Asset
This next module is all about building your website asset, which refers to your blog.
Savage affiliates will help you build and design your website step-by-step and get all the pages in place so that you are ready to go.
It also covers some basic SEO best practices, as that is just part of building a website.
The training is a complete over-the-shoulder setup, so you can build your website as Franklin does it right in front of you.
SEO Google Traffic Training
After you have built your website, you will need to learn some SEO, which is exactly what Savage affiliates teach next.
In this module, you will learn how to:
- Track your keywords
- Sort out website speed
- Have content relevance in your blog
- Do on-page SEO
- Outbound & Interlinking
- Get Social Signals
- Build Foundation Links
- Get Guest Posts
- Get Editorial Links
- Use PBNs (If you want to)
When I purchased this course, this module was the main reason I purchased it, and it didn’t disappoint.
I was intermediate-advanced at Blog SEO when I purchased it, but I got so much value from this module, specifically the off-page SEO part.
Some people complain about Savage Affiliates explaining Private Blog Networks (PBNs), but he explicitly states they are black-hat and says you don’t have to use them.
He just explains it for the people who do want to rank their site quicker. Nothing wrong with that.
Where this module could improve:
This module teaches everything you need to know about SEO, but I would like it to go more in-depth about:
- Interlinking (For example, with a silo structure)
- Technical SEO (It covers site speed, but still)
- Competitor/SERP analysis
I know you don’t have to do a silo structure, but the course kind of just says something along the lines of a link to your relevant articles to help Google understand what it’s about.
Technical SEO could be improved a little, too, as it does cover site speed but not really anything else.
Lastly, I would also like it to have a better SERP (Search Engine Results Page) analysis to help students see whether they can rank or not.
Don’t Get Me Wrong, Though…
Don’t get me wrong, though. This module is fantastic other than those three points I mentioned above.
It will show you everything else you need to grow a successful blog and even how to do on-page tailored to a keyword instead of a general guideline. But, I would recommend taking note of those three things I mentioned above, so you can learn them in your free time if you do want to purchase the course.
If you are looking to gain a competitive advantage with SEO, make sure to check out the best all-in-one SEO tools.
How To Automate This Entire Process
You can’t build a 6 or 7 business on your own.
In the course, Franklin also teaches you how to find writers and VAs for your website… So you can delegate the work to them once you have made profits using your skills.
Plus, he also gives you some of his secret contacts for building links.
Benefits of Building an Affiliate Site
Your website is working and ranking in Google 24/7. This means it’s the ultimate source of passive income.
You write an article once – just like I have written this review once… And it ranks for years to come.
And once you start seeing profits, you can hire others to do the writing – while you play video games, chill at the beach… or whatever floats your boat.
The Email Automation Academy
If you want to be good at affiliate marketing, you need email marketing.
As you would expect, Savage affiliates teaches that too.
In this module, you will learn how to:
- Build an opt-in form
- Create lists
- Send out broadcasts if you want to
- Build out automation sequences
- Write good emails
- Get your emails delivered
- Advanced automation segments
It does bring you all the information you need to get started with email marketing for your affiliate business.
There’s not too much I have to say on this module, as it’s pretty standard.
But, in terms of improvements, I guess it could teach a little more about finding the lead value so that you can scale with paid ads.
Module 8 Free Traffic Training
Savage affiliates also teaches free traffic.
In this module, you will learn how to:
- Create a traffic-generating Facebook Profile
- Build and Grow a Facebook Group
- Start and grow your YouTube channel
- How to rank YouTube videos
- How to get videos without making them
- do YouTube keyword research
- Upload & Optimize videos
- How to get suggested videos
- Use forums for traffic
- Use Quora for traffic
- Use Instagram for traffic
The module is packed with great value, which will help you grow whatever you want to grow.
You can use this module to build your email list, your blog, your YouTube channel, or all of those assets.
I actually learned a lot about YouTube in this module, too, which I didn’t know before, so it’s another great module of Savage Affiliates.
ClickBank Affiliate Marketing
The course teaches you everything you need to know about Clickbank affiliate marketing, whether it’s finding high-converting products or building high-converting bridge pages.
Franklin will explain everything you need to know about ClickBank and then pair it with a traffic source like SEO or paid ads.
Paid Traffic Training
Savage affiliates don’t only have training on free traffic. It also has some great training on paid traffic.
This includes Affiliate marketing with Facebook ads and Google ads.
Facebook Ads Training:
In the Facebook Ads Module, Savage Affiliates Covers:
- How to research your ideal buyer (even if you’ve never done it before)
- Overview of the Facebook Ad manager
- Creating a Landing Page for Ads That SELLS
- Installing Tracking Pixel
- Different Campaign types
- Creating Your Ads
- Campaign Budget Optimization
- Understanding Ad Data
- Creating Custom Audiences
It does cover pretty much everything you need to know about Facebook ads.
The most important part is the research into your ideal buyer, and that goes back to what problem does your product solve?
If you know exactly who would buy your product, reaching them with Facebook ads is fairly easy.
Google Ads Training
Savage Affiliates also comes with Google ads training.
This includes training on:
- Google Ads Overview
- Installing Google Pixel
- Understanding Campaign Types
- Creating a Search Ad
- How to create a YouTube ad
- Custom YouTube placements
- Creating audiences
- Understanding the ad data
- Optimizing & Scaling
Franklin uses a lot of Google ads himself, so the training is of the highest quality possible.
Lastly, Savage Affiliates also comes with some bonuses.
Here is a list of unadvertised bonuses:
- Franklin & Student Case Studies
- Viking Blog Training
- Amazon Affiliate Marketing Module
- Email Authority
- Instagram Excellence
Savage Affiliate does have one upsell for an additional $100, which comes with:
- Web hosting Commissions Blueprint
- Affiliate Launch Jacking Commissions Blueprint
- Franklin’s Done-For-You Affiliate Marketing Funnels
- ClickFunnels Module
I have the upsells and must say they are pretty good.
If you are looking to either start launch jacking, promote ClickFunnels, or Web hosting, you should consider it.
It’s not really an upsell either. It’s more of a different pricing plan which you can select on the Website.
Of course, I am going to give you a look inside below.
Done-For-You Affiliate Systems (Only in Upsell)
If you decide to go with the upsell, you get a couple of done-for-you campaigns to make affiliate marketing a lot easier.
- A Funnel for a ClickBank Product in the internet marketing niche
- A Funnel for a ClickBank Product in the health niche
- A Funnel that promotes ClickFunnels
Keep in mind that to import Franklin Hatchett’s Funnels, you will need ClickFunnels.
Now, these funnels are pretty good, and they are by no means overused, as they are exclusive to Franklin’s students.
He also explains how to drive traffic into these funnels, set them up, and anything else you needed to know.
Launch Jacking & Web Hosting BluePrint (Only in Upsell)
The next part of the Savage Affiliate upsell is the launch jacking and web hosting affiliate blueprint.
Launch jacking is a process where you create pieces of content on products just launching, which means you get a big spike of traffic, as people who have been emailed or advertised to about that product will research it.
Often, a large number of those people will then purchase through your affiliate link, especially if you are offering bonuses.
The web hosting blueprint is also a method that involves creating comparisons and tutorials around Web hosting.
I don’t want to detail too much, as it’s Franklin’s course, but it definitely is a great way to earn affiliate commissions.
The Funnel Academy (Only in Upsell)
The last part of the upsell is the funnel academy which is basically the ClickFunnels module.
In this module, you will learn different ways to promote ClickFunnels and the DFY funnel, such as:
- Using Facebook Ads
- Using Google Ads
- Using SEO/ Your Website
There are a couple of other ways too explained inside of the training too.
Savage Affiliates Pricing
Savage affiliates has two pricing levels:
- Standard $197
- Super $297
We already covered the differences between the two earlier on, but just to recap, here are the parts of the training only available in the Super pricing level:
- Done-For-You Affiliate Systems
- Launch Jacking Blueprint
- Web Hosting BluePrint
- The Funnel Academy
Money-Back Guarantee & Support
The refund policy is 30-days and is action-based.
This means if you want to be eligible, you need to have completed at least 50% of the course.
After 30 days, if you have completed at least 50% of the course, you can request a refund.
They are also quite slow in terms of support, but they do have the Facebook group to get answers quicker if needed.
My Opinion on Savage Affiliates 2.0
I think it’s the best affiliate marketing course out there, especially for beginners.
It teaches you how to set things up in the back-end and then run traffic to these systems.
What I also like is the way Savage affiliates is structured, as it teaches you first to create a system and then run traffic to it.
Or, if you purchase the complete version, you can even use some of Franklin’s funnels.
It’s also unbeatable when it comes to price, as all other courses with this much good training charge at least $497.
However, if you’re going to join and expect the course to make money for you without you doing anything, then just don’t get it in the first place (read next).
Savage Affiliates 2.0: My Results
So, I joined Savage Affiliates about a year ago, as you can see in the screenshot below.
I bought this course around when I started this exact blog (fivestarfunnel.com). I knew I wanted to build up a blog in the internet marketing niche, so I bought this course and a few others to upgrade my knowledge.
This was by far the most useful one that I bought. And it got me some pretty decent results, I would say.
If you check my traffic value now, 1 year later. This is the value of the traffic that I generate for FREE and passively. Plus, this is only US + Australia. It doesn’t even include UK, Canada, and India.
In case you don’t understand… For the traffic I get for free through SEO, I would have to pay over $4,000 per month!
That being said, I’m a firm believer in self-education and also looked at other sources. But a lot of my knowledge came from this course.
Now, does buying Savage affiliates 2.0 guarantee you the same results? No, it doesn’t.
But it increases your chances because you receive the same knowledge Franklin used to build his sites. But, of course, what you do with it depends on you.
What To Be Aware of When Purchasing Savage Affiliates
Savage affiliates teach affiliate marketing. And it’s a business.
If you just look at this as some sort of way to make money online quickly without taking the time to learn the skills involved, then you’re going to fail.
I have also created a list of topics that I recommend you research a little better to have the best information possible.
If you’re expecting to buy this one course and not put in a lot of effort, affiliate marketing is not for you.
The course also teaches pretty much every good method there is, meaning you could get overwhelmed.
I recommend sticking to one type of website/system first and just a couple of traffic methods. If you try to do it all, you will probably fail.
List of Topics I recommend learning outside of Savage Affiliates
If you decide to join Savage Affiliates, I recommend you take this list of topics to do a little research on outside Savage Affiliates.
- Technical SEO
- SERP analysis & Competitor research
- How to satisfy Google (Google’s Ranking Factors)
- Silo Structure & Internal Linking
- Email Lead Value & Scaling
Those are the topics that are, in my opinion, not covered enough.
“But I don’t do research.”
Well, then you shouldn’t go into affiliate marketing or any business, really, as you have to be constantly learning.
Why You Must Learn These Topics
The guys out there doing crazy numbers are constantly learning, too, so good luck ever competing with them without doing research.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not asking you to read a crazy amount of books.
Just do a little research.
And, if you’re not even doing the SEO side of things, then all you need to research (and practice) is copywriting and email lead value.
I just created this list as I have already watched through the course, and in my opinion, those are pieces of the puzzle that are missing.
Basically, this list saves you a little time as everything else is there inside of Savage affiliates.
Something That Nobody Tells You About… (A Good Thing)
What Savage Affiliates 2.0 teaches are REAL-MARKETING skills:
- Paid ads
- SEO writing
- Email marketing
- Social media marketing
If you can get good at any one of those things, you could provide them to businesses and charge quite a lot of money.
Oftentimes, this can also be a lot quicker than building up an affiliate site, which can take 6+ months.
HOWEVER: If you want to use the skills you learned from Savage affiliates to provide services to businesses, you should probably make sure you are actually good at it… And don’t just think you are.
But I thought this was definitely worth a mention because it’s another way you can make money from the course.
I’ve been providing primarily SEO & social media services to businesses and have made $20,000+ from that (in around a year or so).
Also, don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying it’s easy, nor am I saying you’re going to do the same. But I just mean that it is possible to expand from only doing affiliate marketing into this as well.
You should also keep in mind and I didn’t learn everything from Savage Affiliates – that just got me started.
If you really want to start affiliate marketing or whatever really, I would always recommend learning from several sources.
Savage Affiliates 2.0 Pros
- It’s very low cost compared to most other alternatives
- No monthly fees
- You learn from the REAL-DEAL
- You get detailed training… Over 30 hours of it.
- I have gotten real results from this course myself, but I have learned outside of it.
- You can get all your questions answered in the Facebook group
- It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee
- You learn real marketing skills like SEO, email marketing, and funnel building.
- You can use the skills for clients outside of affiliate marketing.
Savage Affiliates 2.0 Cons
- It’s tailored toward beginners, so this course is probably not for you if you are advanced.
- The Facebook group isn’t as active as it used to be.
- You can’t really ask Franklin any questions and the support can be slow.
- The course teaches everything… Which might make it harder to decide which path you want to go.
So, What About Some Of The Negative Reviews?
Every course out there has some negative reviews, and Savage affiliates is no different.
Usually, the negative reviews are made up of two types of people:
- People who expect to pay $200 and have the course build the business for them.
- Affiliates of other programs that just want to get the traffic and sell you something else.
Person 1 is usually a user-generated review that just call everything a scam. How can 30 hours of detailed training be a scam, I’m sorry but what the hell where you expecting?
The second person they literally just want to sell you something else.
Here’s an example: Many critics of Savage Affiliates say “well he adds his affiliate links into the training”…
Yet the courses they promote do it as well. Sorry to break it to you: But every course owner does that, because it’s a way of making additional revenue for recommending products.
So, where’s the problem?
You’re not forced to buy the products, you can use the knowledge and apply it elsewhere too.
Oh no… Big scary affiliate links to products when you can use the knowledge using the products of your choice. I think you get my point here, but feel free to shape your own opinion.
Savage Affiliates Review: Is It a Good Affiliate Marketing Course?
It’s a complete course with over 30 hours of over-the-shoulder video with Franklin Hatchett in a variety of different affiliate marketing methods.
In terms of value for the price, you can’t beat it.
If you are serious about learning affiliate marketing but don’t want to go for one of the other affiliate marketing courses that usually cost around $997, then I definitely recommend considering Franklin Hatchett’s Savage affiliates.
The training is structured, and the quality of information is just top-notch, and you will not find that sort of value anywhere else for the same price.
Recommended for: Beginners who have just started affiliate marketing
Not recommended for: Advanced Affiliates
Savage Affiliates Review: Frequently Asked Questions
Finally, I just wanted to answer some frequently asked questions around Savage Affiliates.
Does Savage Affiliates Teach Amazon Affiliate Marketing?
Yes, Savage affiliates teaches amazon affiliate marketing too. With Amazon, the processes are pretty much the same as with regular affiliate SEO. It’s the same thing. Just you choose to sell amazon products instead. But Franklin teaches you how to find profitable products and sell them too.
Is Savage Affiliates Better Than Wealthy Affiliate?
Yeah, it is. 99% of wealthy affiliate members make money by referring people to the course. Savage Affiliates, on the other hand, is a real course for affiliate marketers that teaches you how to build a business... That’s why the affiliate program for Savage affiliates is closed.
Does Savage Affiliates Teach The ClickFunnels Affiliate Program?
Yes, and the Savage affiliates super version even comes with some pre-built funnels that you can use. And as Franklin Hatchett has won the ClickFunnels supercar himself, you’re definitely learning from the right person.
How Quickly Can You Make Money Using The Free Traffic Methods?
It depends. If you go hard on learning copywriting and social media marketing, you can make money in as little as a month. But if you focus more on YouTube or SEO, it will take you at least 3-6 months to start seeing traffic, depending on your effort and learning.
Is Savage Affiliates Worth It?
For me, it definitely was. It taught me a simple process to rank my affiliate websites and helped me get a better idea of funnel-building or email marketing. I wouldn’t call myself an expert in any of them, but I definitely understand it quite well. That’s why I think the course is perfect for beginners.
Still not sure after reading my Savage affiliates review? Leave a comment, and I will be ready to help!
