What is Kartra?
Kartra png

Kartra is an all-in-one solution that helps its customers build an online business.

Kartra didn’t launch until 2018, but Genesis Digital the company behind Kartra was founded in 2013.

Despite not launching until 2018, it’s already one of the best sales funnel builders on the market. In my review of Kartra, I went into detail explaining how to use the software for your online business, feel free to check that out.

What is ConvertKit?

ConvertKit is an email marketing service provider founded in January 2013.

It’s on its way to becoming not only one of the best autoresponders for affiliate marketing but also for content creators in general.

It offers comprehensive email marketing features and also some advanced features to help you send and collect emails on autopilot.

Kartra Features

As I mentioned earlier, Kartra is a true all-in-one platform.

This means it comes with a little more features than ConvertKit, as you can see below.

Page-Builder, Forms, Funnels & Templates

Firstly, we have the easy-to-use page builder which of course comes with quite a lot of templates (100).

The page builder comes with templates for all kinds of different templates such as:

  • Upsell pages
  • Login pages
  • Legal Pages
  • And many more, as you can see below.

Kartra Templates

Kartra is also a funnel builder, so you can build your entire funnel inside of Kartra.

Another feature here is the ability to create forms and pop-ups which are also incredibly easy to integrate with external pages.

You can even just copy and paste the code of the form and you’re good to go.

Advanced Checkouts

Kartra Checkouts are extremely advanced.

They include features such as:

  • Order-bumps
  • 1 Click-upsells & downsells
  • Templates for the checkouts

Email Marketing

Kartra has great email marketing tools which let you stay connected with your customer.

Despite, ConvertKit being an autoresponder, Kartra matches the email features.

Inside of Kartra, you will find split-testing inside of automation workflows, as well as features such as lead tagging

Just like your normal autoresponder, right? In fact, Kartra actually has more triggers, as it’s connected to Kartra.

For example, you can give your contact a tag if they:

  • Are an active affiliate
  • Have watched X % of your sales video
  • Have refunded X product

These are triggers that will not be available in most autoresponders, including ConvertKit.

It may be available with tons of different integrations, but I am not sure.

Membership Sites

Kartra offers a great membership site feature to help you create and sell online courses.

Again, the beauty of this is that it’s all inside of Kartra

So, you can tag your lead based on whether they have finished watching X video from your course.

Video Hosting

And, of course, there won’t be any need for an external video hosting provider such as Wistia, as Kartra has one built-in.

You can even add CTA’s inside of your videos, so it’s pretty much the same as Wistia.

Affiliate Management & Marketplace

Recruiting & managing affiliates to help you make more sales? Kartra does that too.

You actually even get access to the marketplace where affiliates can find your product (if you want them to). This can help you get more affiliates and therefore, more sales.

If you ever wanted to find some affiliate products, you could also use the marketplace.

You also don’t need an external Calendar app such as Calendly, as Kartra has one built-in.

Again, the beauty of this is that it’s from the same dashboard as all your other tools.

Kartra has a couple of more features inside of the features, but the final main feature is the helpdesk tool.

Using Kartra, you can easily connect Helpdesks into your pages which will allow you to just give your users a better experience as it will be easier to contact you.

ConvertKit Features

ConvertKit does not quite have as many features as Kartra, but they do offer enough features to get your email list going.

Email Marketing

As you would expect, ConvertKit comes with great email marketing features.

ConvertKit has all the features that you would expect from an email autoresponder such as:

  • Automation workflows
  • Split-testing
  • Lead tagging

Pretty useful, but also standard for an autoresponder.

Landing Pages

Next, we have the landing pages and this is a feature that is great to have. Why?

Because you need to collect emails and you won’t need an external tool to create a landing page.

Of course, you can still use anything else such as your WordPress website or another funnel-builder if you wanted to.

Just like in Kartra, you can also create your own forms and also integrate these with any other external pages.

ConvertKit also comes with many templates for your email and landing pages, allowing you to easily create your pages and emails quickly.

ConvertKit templates

Kartra Pricing

Kartra has four main pricing plans, but Enterprise plans are available upon request.

What’s great about Kartra’s pricing plans is that you get access to all features across all plans, other than Kartra agency which I will explain later on.

Kartra Starter ($99 Per Month)

Kartra starter can be the perfect plan for a lot of start-ups.

It comes with ALL features other than Kartra agency.

The only limits of this plan are the resources, which are:

  • 50 GB Bandwidth
  • 2,500 Contacts
  • 15,000 Emails
  • 2 Membership sites
  •  100 Pages
  • 1 Helpdesk
  • 1 Custom domains

Kartra Silver ($199 Per Month)

Next, is the Kartra Silver Plan which I believe will be the perfect plan for most businesses.

Here you do get access to Kartra agency and there are significantly fewer limits.

The only limits in this plan are:

  • 12,500 contacts
  • 3 Custom domains

You get unlimited of all other resources.

Kartra Gold ($299 Per Month)

Next, we have Kartra Gold.

Again, the only limits on this plan are:

  • 25,000 contacts
  • 5 Custom Domains

Other than that, you get access to unlimited resources and all features.

Kartra Platinum ($499 Per Month)

Lastly, we have the Kartra Platinum plan.

Here the only limits are:

  • 10 Custom Domains
  • 50,000 Contacts

Other than that, there are no limits.

ConvertKit Pricing

ConvertKit does have a free plan, but it’s a little limited.

I also won’t be able to show you the full pricing as it heavily depends on the contacts and ConvertKit has a dynamic pricing table.

ConvertKit Free

Firstly we have the free plan.

In the free plan, you get to build unlimited landing pages and can send broadcast emails.

However, the main limitation is that you do not get any automation sequences.

You can have up to 1000 contacts on this plan.

ConvertKit Complete

The other plan is ConvertKit complete where you get access to all features.

This plan will cost $29 per month for 1,000 contacts.

If you need any more, then check out the pricing table on the website.

Kartra vs ConvertKit: Main Differences

The main differences between ConvertKit and Kartra are that while ConvertKit is significantly lower-priced, Kartra comes with a lot more features. Using Kartra you can also sell your products and create membership sites whereas with ConvertKit you cannot.

Here is a list of features inside of Kartra which you will not find in ConvertKit:

  • Membership site builder
  • Page builder (ConvertKit just has landing pages vs Kartra’s sales, legal, etc.)
  • Helpdesks
  • Calendar
  • Affiliate management
  • Kartra Checkouts

ConvertKit you get all the tools you need to build a list. Kartra gives you all the tools you need to build a business.

Note: For a limited time, you can actually get an EXTENDED Kartra Trial! Full instructions here.

Final Thoughts

Both Kartra and ConvertKit can be great options for businesses of all sizes.

While Kartra has some more advanced features and can probably help more in terms of building your entire sales funnel, ConvertKit can also offer a perfect option for affiliates and content creators just starting out.

I hope this article has been helpful in your choice between Kartra and ConvertKit.

GetResponse vs MailerLite: Who Takes The Crown?

Email marketing is one of the best ways to market your business.

But, before you can get started with email marketing, you’re going to need an autoresponder and probably a landing page or some sort of place to collect emails.

That’s why we’re going to be comparing GetResponse vs MailerLite as these are both two autoresponders that offer both these features.

Who will take the crown? Let’s find out.

What Is GetResponse?

GetResponse is an email autoresponder founded in 1998.

Since then it has become much more than just an email autoresponder, it has become a complete marketing system.

It’s also one of the most popular email marketing service providers on the market.

What Is MailerLite?

MailerLite is also an email autoresponder which is becoming increasingly popular among marketers.

Unlike GetResponse, it wasn’t founded in 2010.

However, it is rapidly growing and also has great email marketing and landing page features.

GetResponse Features

As I have mentioned earlier, GetResponse is a complete marketing system.

This means, it has quite a lot of features, so I have broken them down into the core features.

Email Marketing Features

As you would expect, GetResponse has powerful email marketing tools.

GetResponse’s email marketing features include:

  • Autoresponder
  • Workflows
  • Lead-tagging
  • Lead-scoring
  • Split-testing
  • Advanced Analytics

GetResponse gives you everything you need to send analytics-driven and automated emails.

Landing Pages

GetResponse also has a landing page feature.

It comes with 150+ beautiful templates that are extremely easy-to-edit.

Getresponse landing pages

The next feature is the auto-funnel feature.

This feature allows you to create your entire marketing funnel in one easy-to-use application.

It comes with a template for each type of funnel and all you need to do is add in the assets which you would like to include in the marketing funnel.

GetResponse AUtofunnel

You can even configure settings such as the cost of the traffic so that it can calculate your ROI.

And, that’s not all…

If you’re in B2B niches, it even comes with some done-for-you Lead magnets on topics such as Conversion-optimization.

This feature is also one of the reasons, GetResponse made my list of best funnel builders.

Next, we have the CRM function.

CRM stands for customer relationship management.

GetResponse comes with a visual CRM pipeline tool which is great, as you don’t need to integrate it with your autoresponder as GetResponse is your autoresponder.

However, it’s not quite advanced as an actual CRM or ActiveCampaigns CRM. If you would like to read more about that you can read my comparison of ActiveCampaign vs GetResponse.

MailerLite Features

MailerLite has also become a little more than an Autoresponder.

It has the following features

  • Email Marketing
  • Landing pages

Email Marketing

In terms of email marketing, MailerLite is quite similar to GetResponse.

It comes with everything you would expect from your normal email marketing software.

  • Automation-workflows
  • Split-testing
  • Lead-tagging
  • Analytics

MailerLite does not have a lead scoring feature. This feature is only available in GetResponse

However, I would say that the editor and email templates are a little superior over GetResponse.

If you are the kind of person to send visual emails, then this could be an advantage.

Landing Pages

Next, we have the landing pages.

MailerLite also has many great templates that are super-easy to edit.

There are over 25+ landing page templates which is quite low, but fine as you can easily edit them.

What About Deliverability?

Deliverability is a key part of email marketing.

There are many studies that show that GetResponse has a 95%+ Deliverability rate.

However, I always like to use the data from private studies, as I feel these are more accurate.

Here is what was found in a study by email tool tester:

  • MailerLite 78.4%
  • GetResponse 75.6%

Both of these figures are around the average. If you’re super-bothered about deliverability, I recommend taking a look at ActiveCampaign.

However, as long as you follow the best practices, you should not have any deliverability issues.

And, it’s not like the Deliverability rates of Mailerlite and GetResponse are terrible, they are industry average.

GetResponse Pricing

Just like most autoresponders, GetResponse pricing table is dynamic depending on number of leads and stuff like that.

If you’re just starting out and have under 1,000 leads then you can use the pricing table below.

However for a full pricing table, please visit the GetResponse website.

GetResponse pricing

MailerLite Pricing

It’s the exact same with MailerLite, so I recommend checking out the website if you need more than 1,000 contacts.

As you can see, you can actually get started for completely free.

MailerLite Pricing

How Good Is MailerLite FREE?

If you’re just starting out, the free plan probably looks quite interesting to you.

And, it should.

It has all the features you need (automation workflows, landing pages, etc.) and the limitations are minimal.

Here are the main limitations of the free plan:

  • No custom domains
  • No support other than email
  • No removing MailerLite branding at bottom of your emails
  • No auto-resend or deliver by timezone

There are a couple of other things too, but I suggest just heading over to the official website for more detail.

GetResponse vs MailerLite: Main Differences

GetResponse is a full marketing system that comes with more features than MailerLite. MailerLite comes with landing pages and everything you need for Email marketing, but GetResponse also comes with sales funnel and CRM functions.

However, MailerLite will be enough for some people, as it offers great features for beginners. It also has a completely free plan which is the best free email marketing plan out there.

On the flip side, GetResponse has some of the best overall marketing features on the market.

Who Takes The Crown?

Of course, if you want to go by overall feature-wise it’s going to be GetResponse.

However, for a lot of people, beginners especially, MailerLite will be the preferred option.

So, overall GetResponse but for anyone only needing landing pages and email marketing tools, it would have to be MailerLite.

Either way, both of these options are great for their own purpose.

If you need all the marketing bells & whistles go for GetResponse.

If you’re only looking for email marketing tools and landing pages, go for MailerLite

Features inside of GetResponse, not available in MailerLite

GetResponse has all the features Mailerlite has, but also has some additional ones.

Here’s some features which are only available in GetResponse:

  • CRM
  • Auto-funnel
  • Lead scoring

These features are not available in MailerLite.

Free Trials?

As I have mentioned throughout this article, MailerLite does have a free plan. Feel free to check that out too.

GetResponse on the other hand has a 30-day free trial.

If you feel that GetResponse is the right option for you, feel free to give it a go using the link below.

Try GetResponse For Free (30 Day Trial, No Credit Card Required)

Final Thoughts

I hope you have enjoyed the comparison between GetResponse and MailerLite.

As you have seen throughout this article, they are both great options for businesses of all sizes.

The only difference was that GetResponse has some added features, while MailerLite is significantly lower priced.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below and I will get back to you asap.

WishPond vs GetResponse: Which One Is Better For You?

The two main components of most online businesses are landing pages and email marketing.

Today, we are going to compare two platforms that do exactly that, WishPond vs GetResponse

We are going to take a deep look at the features, pricing, and compare them overall to help you find the best-suited option for your business.

WishPond vs GetResponse

WishPond vs GetResponse: Main Differences

WishPond and GetResponse have similar features such as landing pages and email marketing tools. However, GetResponse is much lower-priced across all plans and also offers autofunnels and webinars.  On the flip side, WishPond offers custom CSS customization and social contests.

WishPond Features

WishPond has some great features and it covers all the core online business features most people look for (Landing pages, Email Marketing).

Here are the features WishPond has to offer:

  • Email Marketing
  • Landing Pages
  • Social Contests
  • Custom CSS

Email Marketing

Firstly, we have email marketing features.

WishPond gives you everything you need to start a successful email marketing combine.

This includes:

So, it’s pretty much a normal autoresponder.

Landing Pages

Next, we have the landing pages inside of WishPond.

WishPond also comes with 100+ free landing page templates which are nice and easy-to-edit.

The editor (image below) does feel a little like Elementor for WordPress.

Social Contests

Next, we have another feature that makes WishPond unique, social contests.

WishPond allows you to easily create social contests, referral campaigns, and similar events in a couple of clicks.

This can work great, but you can also probably do this manually with any landing page builder.

Custom CSS

Lastly, we have the custom CSS feature.

Another feature that is pretty unique compared to most of its competitors.

With WishPond, you can add your own custom CSS to make the pages look exactly how you want them.

GetResponse Features

Despite the low pricing of GetResponse, it has a huge number of features.

Here are the features GetResponse has to offer:

  • Email marketing tools
  • Landing Pages
  • Autofunnel
  • Webinars
  • Basic CRM

Email Marketing Tools

Firstly, we have the email marketing tools which you will find inside of GetResponse.

Given that GetResponse was originally just an autoresponder, you would expect these to be strong.

And, that’s exactly what they are.

GetResponse has all the standard email marketing features such as:

  • Automation workflows (Also, behavior-based)
  • Split-testing
  • Lead-tagging

I found that compared to WishPond, GetResponse gives you more triggers in the automation workflows, as well as better analytics and more split-testing options.

Not only that, from the plus plan and up, GetResponse also scores the contacts for you, so you can easily determine what actions you need to take to keep your list active.

Landing Pages

The next feature inside GetResponse is landing pages & templates.

GetResponse comes with around 200 templates which you can easily edit to create a landing page that converts your visitor.

It’s easy to use and it also has pop-ups!

GetResponse AUtofunnel

Now, let’s talk about one of my favorite features, the autofunnel feature.

The autofunnel will assist you in building your entire sales funnel which will make it much easier.

Plus, it will even measure the ROI for you directly!

Another cool feature inside GetResponse is the webinars.

You probably know what a webinar is, but with GetResponse you can host them.

This is a great little feature to have in case you ever need it, even if you don’t need it right now.

Basic CRM

In the higher plans, GetResponse also comes with a CRM (Customer-relationship management) tool.

It is a little limited compared to other CRM tools out there such as ActiveCampaign, as it does not quite let you automate as much as you can with other options.

Nonetheless, it’s a useful added feature inside of GetResponse.

GetResponse vs WishPond: Mobile-Responsiveness

Both of these solutions have an editor that lets you easily edit the mobile version of your page too.

You can also preview the mobile version, so in terms of mobile-responsiveness, they both perform well.

How Much Do They Both Cost?

Let’s take a look at the costs that both of these solutions come at.

WishPond Pricing

Firstly, we have WishPond’s pricing.

I’m not a big fan of their pricing table. Why?

  1. You can only pay annually
  2. Take a look at how quickly you have to upgrade between the plan as your list grows.

Wishpond pricing

Yeah, they might start off at $49 per month, but let me give you a contrast comparison on the next pricing plan.

Their “Everything you need” plan lets you collect 2,500 leads.

Kartra another all-in-one solution also offers space for 2,500 leads, but it:

For the SAME price.

So, that’s why I am not a big fan of WishPond’s pricing, despite there being nothing wrong with their features.

Related Article: Kartra vs WishPond: Which One Is Best For You?

GetResponse Pricing

Just like many other autoresponders GetResponse’s pricing table updates dynamically depending on the number of leads.

Below, you can see the pricing for all plans up to 1,000 leads, but for the full pricing please see their website.

Annual discounts are available too.

Keep in mind, in order to get the needed tools such as automation sequences, you will need the plus plan.

GetResponse pricing

GetResponse pricing also doesn’t increase as rapidly as WishPond’s does.

Here’s what I am talking about, let’s say you’re on the plus plan for GetRespone which already offers more than WishPond.

While on WishPond, you would have to already be paying $199 per month as soon as you cross 2,500 leads, with GetResponse, you would only have to pay $79 per month for 5,000 subscribers (on the plus plan!)

Who Wins Overall?

WishPond may have social contests and custom CSS, but GetResponse has:

  • better pricing plans (lower cost, more options, etc.)
  • Advantage in email marketing
  • Webinars
  • Autofunnel
  • CRM (Although, it’s limited)

GetResponse has more features, for a smaller price.

For me, the clear winner is GetResponse

GetResponse  simply offers more and better features for a smaller price.

The only aspect in which WishPond wins is the social contests and the custom CSS.

Yeah, these features may be quite cool, but they don’t outweigh the tools that GetResponse comes with.

Not only this but if you were to use WishPond, you could only pay annually which I assume is going to be a turnoff for a lot of people. This is quite a similar outcome to Kartra vs WishPond.

Final Thoughts

Both of these platforms have some great features.

But, the difference is really at the price they come at.

While GetResponse has low-pricing plans across all plans, WishPond starts off low and then increases rapidly.

It’s important that you do take this aspect into account too, because you will quickly exceed 1,000 leads, meaning you could be over-paying pretty quickly.

As I mentioned earlier, Kartra offers tons of more features for the same price as WishPond.

So, you always want to take a look at the competitors and find the best option for you.
